144% to 19%...Yeah, Xbox is going all live services the next gen.

Chevalier124d ago

I find it crazy everyone dumped on Playstation when they announced TLOU Remake when it was announced and released. When told this was because of the TV series it was laughed off. But now it's been top 10 sales all year. It's number 5 here.

potatoseal124d ago

I totally agree. I always thought it was a great idea but the playstation podcasts I watched all bemoaned the fact it was happening.

anast124d ago

I felt the same. I consume all TLOU content, it's quality.

potatoseal124d ago

@ Knush, yes, but in other months TLOU1 remake was hitting top tens and sold a lot. Maybe lots of those people have now finished the game and now gone on to buy TLOU part 2.

Knushwood Butt124d ago

@ potatoseal

Yeah, that makes logical sense.

I should really play 2 again on PS5.

Plus how about some actuals numbers rather than just a percentage increase in last year's?

PlayStation up 144% when they sold really well last year I'm sure it's especially impressive.

Just like I'm sure Xbox would have sold terribly last year considering their output so a 19% increase is nothing really.

144%
damn thats quite a big jump.

Didn't help it had issues at launch

Guess people are starting to put their foot down Star Wars or not.

phoenixwing51d ago

I haven't bought it for that reason

-Foxtrot51d ago

Same

I just couldn't

I'll play it, obviously, it's Star Wars and I enjoyed the first one but there's plenty of games out at the minute so I'll buy it when it goes cheap.

phoenixwing51d ago (Edited 51d ago )

Same going to pick it up when it's dirt cheap. Which I wouldn't have done if it was OK performance wise

PixelOmen51d ago

Just at launch huh? lmao.

FinalFantasyFanatic50d ago

Doesn't it still have issues? I think it's only just gotten to a barely playable state on the Steam Deck, I think I'd worry about them getting it to run at a satisfactory level on the PS4/Xone.

I kind of wanted to get it, but after hearing all the issues people had, I didn't really want to pay for it without a deep discount.

scorpio_204950d ago

I didn’t get it because of that too. Now I’m content just waiting until I can get a used copy for dirt cheap.

I’m waiting for it to be fixed on PS5. I was planning on getting it this month but I got Remnant 2 and Armored Core 6 is on the way so I may wait a little longer now. I will definitely get it at some point though

Profchaos50d ago

At this point I just don't think it's fixable

Shane Kim50d ago

What issues does it have? I played it just fine.

ravens5250d ago (Edited 50d ago )

Ok, I don't like this. Don't present a game as current gen only but then go-ahead and make it for last gen. Where are the games that can't run on last gen hardware? Lies. Wtf.

What's the point of having a PS5 or XSX!? Really annoying.

darthv7250d ago (Edited 50d ago )

Just an FYI... there is no game currently that cant be made to run on previous hardware. The main upgrade that 9th gen offers is fidelity. All the finer details, ray tracing reflections/shadows... it all adds to the fidelity. Resolution and framerate are not the end all be all that people make them out to be.

So... there is no reason this game cant come to last gen. Its just a sequel to the previous. It wont have the same fidelity but it certainly can run on last gen.

FinalFantasyFanatic50d ago

It might run badly like the attempt to run some high performance games on the Switch, it hasn't run the best on the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck is somewhere between the base & Pro versions of a PS4 in terms of performance, so I don't see this game running well unless they can make some more performance improvements.

Rainbowcookie50d ago

Darth I don't think that is fully true. Id like to see Ratchet Clank ps5 run on a ps4...not gonna happen. It's not just fidelity.
