Halo Infinite's May Update Will See The Return Of Super Fiesta Among Other Changes

The Halo Infinite May update brings multiple new changes, the most significant of which is the return of the fan-favorite mode Super Fiesta.

Yeah, thank god you’re not playing. Enjoy!

Tacoboto136d ago

^ When you spend more time complaining about games than playing them.

Super Fiesta, they're continuing to work on backend improvements, still sticking to the 3 month season schedule, more Forge Maps in the playlists, fps indicator on console. Solid update all around.

Jin_Sakai136d ago

The game is dead and so are the team behind it.

Tacoboto136d ago

So dead it receives new maps, patches, takes 30 seconds or less to find a match, and is worth clicking and commenting on articles over.

Sciurus_vulgaris136d ago

I just played 3 matches and match making times were under a minute. So how is the game dead ?

Jin_Sakai136d ago

It’s practically dead when compared to similar online FPS titles.

Backend improvements years after launch that shouldn’t have existed in the first place.

They added a fps indicator that’s been on CoD for a decade.

More forge maps added when they should be making quality in engine maps instead of taking the easy route.

Tacoboto136d ago

Ok. Well have fun repeating those same tired complaints in 7 weeks when Season 4 starts, you're still doing it "years after launch".

(It's been 18 months)

"Backend improvements" this far after launch shouldn't be praised, the game should have been released in a playable state from launch. Hit detection is still broken as well, something that carried over from Halo 5 and MCC.

Enjoy what you want, that's not the issue, but ignoring clear problems is. There's a reason the game flopped and has barely any players compared to popular shooters.

These updates keep getting better and better. Halo infinite is a million times in a better state than before.

anast136d ago

It's #445 top-seller and about 4k peaks. It would have been better if they had released a complete game.

Crows90136d ago

Its unfortunate. Theyll say...hey its much better now! But the reality is it should have launched complete...this game as it stands is long forgotten.

On steam it reaches 4k or so at peak. As comparison left 4 dead 2 reaches 14k at its lowest.

Halo Infinite: August Update Preview

Unyshek writes: "Since its release, Season 4: Infection has been winning over hearts and Iratus has been taking over minds. Although the reception of Season 4 has been great, there’s still plenty to do and we haven’t slowed down or lost sight of that fact. To help illustrate that point, let’s take a look at some of the additions, improvements, and bug fixes landing next Wednesday, August 9, with the upcoming August Update!"

Halo Infinite Is So Back, Baby

Halo Infinite’s Squad Battle playlist—which features fan-favorite map, Valhalla—makes it finally feel like a franchise peak

"But maybe, just maybe, Halo Infinite has always been this good. It just needed a familiar conduit, a recognizable face, to remind you of that."

-Personally I really liked the campaign, traversing the open world was a breath of fresh air & alot fun for me, but yes I completely understand the launch multiplayer content criticisms. Now since then they've added a ton of really great multi content, -maps, modes, weapons & forge, smooth Halo-style combat gunplay -Infinite is currently very underrated imo very satisfying but Im biased I love Halo.

crazyCoconuts49d ago

I found the campaign to be really lacking, but the open world was good. That fun halo combat is really what saved it from disaster

Sonic188148d ago (Edited 48d ago )

The Halo campaign has been lacking for years. Halo 5 had the worst campaign of them all imo

InUrFoxHole49d ago

The only dislike for me was lack of content

TheEroica49d ago

Good for Halo! Been a bit of a rough ride on infinite. Seems like people are happy. Well, except the insecure downvote people.

Profchaos49d ago

I really disliked the open world it felt empty and pointless to me it was filler that seperated point a and point b. Some of my favourite levels in the halo franchise have involved traversing levels in warthogs but to spend 90% of this game doing that it became really stale.

If there was more interesting landmarks side missions and some scenery changes it might have been a good idea but what we got was emptier that an early 5th gen open world sandbox.

On the flipside however once we got into a interior it felt like halo again structured a d fun but once we were outside it was a snoozefest

35 people who haven't played the game disagree 😂

shinoff218348d ago (Edited 48d ago )

Eh it happens. I get disagrees as well probably from that person also when not saying anything that makes sense to disagree with. I personally just never liked halo. When I had the og Xbox back in the day, halo wasn't in the rotation at all.

oIMyersIo48d ago

@Shinoff

Absolutely, people like to nust disagree for the sake of it without adding to the discussion.

Halo 1&2 were amazing but on the OG xbox the game I played most was Republic Commando. 😂
