Rogue-lite games work pretty well as smaller projects, but bigger games should really consider just adding them as an extra mode rather than fully committing to the that kind of structure.

I think an outright concept of no big game rogue-lite is pretty severe. Returnal and Hades prove that the concept clearly can work, IMHO.
