Sony could very well hit that goal with all the heavy hitters and readily available stock

While some companies’ hard work pays off, other companies try to coast on another’s hard work by purchasing them instead of just building it and maintaining it for themselves

Easily with a Metal Gear Solid remake and Twisted Metal!!!

Factions isn't far off either. Ronin next year. Wolverine probably as well (fall 24). Then a ton of yet to be announced projects that line up for 2024-25. Bend, Sucker Punch, Blue Point, Pixel Opus all will release in that span. Possibly Housemarque as well. Then Haven, Deviation, ND again, Firesprite horror game, etc after that. But the best part is 3rd party exclusives in between and that will always seperate PS. They invest and collaborate more than XB. These aren't simply anticomp deals, they are mostly creative partnerships ala Ronin.

It's an ambitious target. Looks like they are banking big on Spidey 2, FF16 and of course FIFA and CoD to reach that number this fiscal year. If I'm not mistaken, they are already off to a good start this April

I have a feeling we are in for a good time.

Spidey alone will take care of sony's software financials this year. Spider-man 1 sold 34 million since release beating out breath of the wild by4 million in a year less time.

Sony is ultra instincting to the top imo

I guess the chip shortage didn't hold them back too much after all. People just put their purchase on ice - quality products sell and people are prepared to wait.

Still incredibly impressive. On this trajectory, it won't be long before it surpasses PS4 in the same timeframe. It's already looking like a good year and I can feel the announcements around the corner...

"If met, this target would bring the total of PlayStation 5 units that hit the shelves to 63.4 million by March 31, 2024."

This sounds about right. It's aggressive, but doable as long as they keep those games coming.

They should release it on NSO's GBA lineup. The Switch has a light sensor afterall! (Switch Lite owners would be out of luck though)

Chocoburger8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

I don't think games would be able to 'hook into' the light sensor for automatic screen brightness.
The best way to play the game is with the fan patch that lets you adjust the amount of light the game is receiving at will. Make sure not to play at max sunlight for too long, or the game will punish you, keep the sunlight meter lowered in order to keep playing longer.
