The upcoming remake of Dragon Quest 3 is one that fans should be just as excited about alongside the approaching release of FF7 Rebirth.

If it was just as exciting you wouldn't need to bring up ff7 to get clicks

VincentVanBro11d ago

Such negativity about someone just being excited about a video game. What a waste of existence.

jambola11d ago

No
it's pointlessly bringing ff7 into it for extra attention

CrimsonWing69160d ago

I agree. I hope Square continues this with their classics. All I need is Parasite Eve, Xenogears, and Front Mission 4 and 5.

I’d be set!

And if Capcom wanted to be extra, I’d love a Breath of Fire 1-4 collection with this treatment.

jznrpg160d ago

I was just looking at Parasite Eve 1&2 and Xenogears along with others in my pS1 collection thinking I should play a few soon.
I’d love remakes of those plus Vagrant Story!! and many more. I’m happy the Suikoden collection is coming soon but I want physical copy of it.

One thing is square is super lame aholes making the pixel remaster of FF so super limited. The sad thing is if they don’t make another run is I will probably bust out 500+ to get them for my collection but holding out for now .

CrimsonWing69160d ago (Edited 160d ago )

Yea man, I’m salty about that, too. I’ve been a fan of them since the SNES days and have actively collected most of their games.

It’s super stupid sounding, but the original FF titles mean a lot to me. I wanted this collection, but my god the way they handled it is borderline insulting to me and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get it. I mean I even got put in the queue the second time they out them up, but nope, sold out.

Also, I’m stoked for the Suikoden Collection, too!

I would also like Ehrgeiz, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy Tactics, Brave Fencer Musashi, Vagrant Story, The Bouncer and... yeah yeah, some will disagree, but FFXIII-trilogy 😊

andy85160d ago

Ngl I'm very excited for this but kinda hoped there was some new information in this article

shinoff2183160d ago (Edited 160d ago )

More excited for this then I am ff16. Although I would prefer a proper remake instead of the whole 2dhd I'll still take it

banger88160d ago

HD-2D is perfect for this game imo. I hope they remake more games in this style.

gold_drake160d ago

disagree with that haha.

the movie was great tho

Can't freaking wait! I only have one tiny nitpick from everything I've seen so far. The ground clutter. There is a ton of pop-in going on when moving around with small rocks and foliage. I hope they can touch that up a bit before release. The game itself looks like everything I could have hoped for! I hope there are a ton of different cards to collect, for Queen's Blood.

nommers9h ago

So glad they're bringing a card game to a FF game again

andy859h ago

Given it's an SSD game now I really hope that's cleaned up closer to release.

Becuzisaid30m ago

I think they've said the demo we're seeing is several months old. Hopefully it already is fixed but most open world games seem to have a problem with vegetation pop in or density

CrimsonWing697h ago

Man, this is one of those games where when I saw the gameplay, I could tell immediately they’re raising the bar. I can’t tell you how hyped I am for this! It’s not crazy far out, but the wait is still getting to me.

There’s also Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Persona 3 Remake to juggle before then. Dang, 2024 is a good time to be a JRPG fan.

andy856h ago

And LAD Gaiden and I still haven't finished Sea of Stars 🤣

gold_drake6h ago

oooo boy i cant wait, im already dodging news and gameplay like a pro haha

Trilithon5h ago

this should be a good 75 hours of entertainment

Syphos4h ago

I think that's a bit below the actual number, they said 100 hours (which is probably discounting how much side-stuff and mini-games you can get lost in) I'd expect with a normal-ish playthrough enjoying some of the side-content you'll easily top 100 hours, might be more like 140-150 hours tbh ^^.

I wonder how many hours completing everything fully will take, can't wait.

looking forward to tomorrow where its 149 days away from launch
