NE "With Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection releasing on Switch this week, we thought it’d be a good time to revisit the classic series for those looking to get into the Blue Bomber proper."
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Who doesn't love a good video game compilation? They bring together multiple games previously spread out across the years or across various platforms and arrange them into a tidy, accessible package, often with some modern bells and whistles. Some of the best compilations of 2023 included Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, which upgrades three classic quests in high-definition; The Lara Croft Collection, which brings isometric adventures Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris to Switch for the first time; Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, the ultimate way to experience the saga; and Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1, home to several of Hideo Kojima's works of art."
Good stuff, but I feel like some collections like Etrian Odyssey are unappealing because of the price, or in the case of Metal Gear Solid, performance issues.
CCG writes - "Overall, the first three games, often considered the finest in the Megaman Battle Network series by fans, come very highly recommended. It's easy to learn and difficult to master, and any fans of Mega Man or RPGs will surely enjoy this. It's not very expensive to purchase and you get some great value if you purchase both collections together as well."
Today Capcom announced its financial results for the fiscal quarter between April 1, 2023, and June 30, 2023, and they're extremely strong.
Capcom does well when they actually listen to their fans. Maybe someday they will completely understand that.
Capcom has been killing it for about 5 years now.
Now do Ace Attorney 7 goddamn it.
Proves how dire the gaming industry is. Resident Evil reboots. That’s the best you can expect from CAPCOM. CAPCOM died after the Dreamcast/PlayStation 2/Xbox/GameCube console generation.
Mega Man 2 was my first entry into the series, and remains my favorite to this day! The core robot bosses are easy enough, I agree w the video there... but Wily's castle was no joke back in the day!
Despite the video stating that his first was #10, waaaay later than my first experience... I'm really happy to hear his true appreciation for the game, first playing it in the modern era. It affirms that my fondness for the game isn't just nostalgia speaking. These games truly are timeless! Great vid.
MM 3 and MM 7 are my favorite entries from the classic original series. 3 is still my all-time fave though. I got my mom to rent it for me all the time as a kid. I really enjoyed the music and the robot masters in it. In particular Gemini Man, Snake Man & Shadow Man. Snake Man being a recurring character on that Ruby-Spears show back then just made me like him even more.
All the entries are worth checking out MM games like FF they have their fans to certain titles. Even MMX is worth checking out just skip anything past MMX4. I like MM2 the music is solid in it and I also like MMX2.
