What the actual f*** is this...

God damn it

I'd rather have just had a Crash Bash remake

Kaii405d ago

I'd assume they were attempting to "live service" the crash ip?
Mostly disappointed with the general direction tbh, they've been knocking it out of the park since 2017
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy - 2017
Spyro: Reignited Trilogy - 2018
CTR: Crash Team Racing - Nitro-Fueled - 2019
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time - 2020

no open beta or demo unless ya "buy it" so =) no thanks

Might be fun for a few weeks but will most likely die a quick death. Such a shame that iconic franchises are being taken in this direction.

The multiplayer space is so oversaturated at present with heavy hitters like COD, Fortnite, FIFA, and dare I say it? Battlefield with its recent resurgence.

Games like this typically attract a small audience, especially since it’s paid, but with such a stacked year with the likes of Diablo, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Horizon, Spider-Man & that’s not even taking into account the annual COD release - it won’t be long before players who do pick this up, move on.

Should’ve been F2P imo to stand any chance.
Happy to be proved wrong when it launches though.

Crash Team Rumble (XS) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "When you look at it from a bird’s eye view, Crash Team Rumble faces treacherous headwinds. Release schedule, marketing, invasive live-service shenanigans, and an unfamiliar template for this franchise have all coalesced into this unknown entity; and yet, the template finds firm footing. There's a genuinely interesting expansion of what’s come before while still capturing the tonal quirkiness of yore. But even when looking past the nagging corporate elements, there are still enough gameplay frustrations to diminish what are otherwise some pleasant accomplishments. To translate into Crash’s language: Toys for Bob scraped its way to the finish line, but missed a few crates along the way."
