PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S Sales Comparison in the US - February 2023

February 2023 is the 28th month the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has been available for. In the latest month, the gap grew in favor of the PlayStation 5 when compared to the aligned launch of the Xbox Series X|S by 284,979 units.

In the last 12 months, the PlayStation 5 has outsold Xbox Series X|S by 1.78 million units. The PlayStation 5 is currently ahead by 2.78 million units.

It's interesting that the PS5 is selling like a new console now it's in stock. The sales really just seem to have been delayed, rather than lost. There's a lot of excitement around the console still, because it's still so new to so many.

Just seen someone buying one at Wal-Mart today hmm now that i think about it ive seen other people buying one at Wal-Mart again awhile back and target. Even seen a little boy going to the isle looking to see if they had some on the shelf last week.

Ppl be so quick to defend their plastic box , I have a PS5 and Series X .. I’m talking about as far as sells go it’s still 2 SKUs on the market for both PS5 and the Series consoles. It’s a PS5 with a drive and there’s one without a disc drive.

Series x is 499, series S is 229.

Also you missing the point, the two series consoles are two different consoles aimed at different audiences. PS5s are the same console with and w/out disc drive.

PS5 is on the way to surpassing Xboxone and XboxoneX and that’s with the 2 year supply restraint for PS5 .
