We’re gonna get Deep Down anyday now 😂

SullysCigar814d ago (Edited 814d ago )

Sony's gonna shadow drop Agent at the next State of Play, I betcha! /S

bloop814d ago

What was the game shown a few years ago with the knight fighting the dragon in the ruins?? What the hell happened to that game??

SullysCigar814d ago

^ I think that was Deep Down, @bloop.

That's if you mean the one with the knight walking down the corridor and then having to shield himself from (as I recall) amazing dragon flames! They also showed some abilities like freezing time, I think. It was quite Demon's Souls, looking back on it.

bloop814d ago (Edited 814d ago )

I'm familiar with Deep Down but this was another game. It looked like a single player action game playing as a knight in silver armour making his way through the ruins of a castle. The demo ended with this crazy fight with a dragon outside in a large opening. It looked incredible but haven't heard anything about it since.

Edit: I just found it; Project Awakening.

The question I always had about Deep Down, was it a game or a tech demo? But if the game exists then it will be very exciting if they do end up announcing something on it.

darthv72814d ago

Capcom already paid that debt off with SFV.

DVAcme814d ago

Deep Down was never released, but look at the old demos and the movement and camera work. The engine used in Deep Down is what eventually became the REngine. You can see the similarities between it and REmake 2, 3 and 4. So while Deep Down was never released, it wasn't wasted work, since it gave us an excellent game engine Capcom's using to make fantastic games.

Everybody forgot about Agent. It's just hanging out there in the limbo-ist of limbos.

P_Bomb814d ago

I was just about to say Agent, LOL!

I don't really care about any of those. Where's Little Devil inside?

NecrumOddBoy814d ago

Yeah, the game should’ have never gotten a two-year delay just because some people are a little butt hurt over the tribal enemies.

It looks both charming and adventurous so I hope it’s not in dev hell.

Bathyj814d ago

This world has gotten ridiculous. Why do we listen to the dumbest people?

KeeseToast814d ago

Do you have any source on that? The game was first announced ans funded as a Kickstarter as early as 2015 and has been stuck in development hell ever since. From searching the web I found no indication at all that the most recent delay has anything to do with them replacing the tribal enemies.

Here is your delay Keese. Redesigning all the enemies and zones they resided in to be.....whatever is safe to be an enemy these days.

KeeseToast814d ago

@Brain
LOL as if changing one type of enemy design is the cause for a 2 year delay. Thanks @all for the disagrees people here have no idea how game development works but are happy to jump on any opportunity to call out the „woke agenda“

Terry_B814d ago

Did not even know about any of them ^^ But where is hellblade II?

Terry_B814d ago

Lol..guess the devs read my comment ;)

But seriously, I hope the game will be good actually and we see some gameplay.

ModsDoBetter814d ago

Deep Down please. 😂
One day, I’m holding out hope.
Hard to think that it’s been 10 years since it was announced.

Last update was Shawn Layden saying in 2021 that it may be picked up by someone else within Capcom following Ono’s departure.

senorfartcushion814d ago (Edited 814d ago )

We’ve had 17 thousand Dark Souls clones come out. We’ve had more Deep Down than a pornstar on coke.

Basically every Microsoft game.
