From how its selling its on track to obviously sell over that in its life time

shinoff2183411d ago

Easily. It'll hit that 100 mill mark. In its lifetime

Jin_Sakai411d ago (Edited 411d ago )

Only 60 million? I’d be confident in 100 million sales.

Sonic

No, their comment history indicates that they just hate fanboys on this site.

I agree. To celebrate the sales of a multinational company as a regular person is… weird.

Fanboyism is just strange. People are genuinely celebrating someone else’s success.

BlackTar187410d ago

The success is directly related to the level of support the consumer will receive over the long haul. You sound miserable go hang out in the sun.

Knushwood Butt410d ago

So if I celebrate a certain sports team's success, it's strange?

Not a good look.

senorfartcushion410d ago (Edited 410d ago )

Blacktar

Kushwood

They’re both strange ways to put it.

And, Kushwood, yes, even though a lot of people support sports teams there is a sense of literal community from that. Usually people support the team hailing from the same place as they were born. You weren’t born in Nintendo headquarters or PlayStations or Microsoft’s or Apple’s. They’re buildings of people solely out to get your money for lacklustre service and nothing more.

Think of the hold times in each of their terrible customer service lines. Think how bad Microsoft have jumped on the live service train, think about how bad Nintendo are for refunds, think of how hard it is to get a refund from Sony in the event you download something you didn’t intend on downloading. They’re all cold businesses.

Think of how all of their games are now $70 for absolutely no reason but the fact that these companies wanted to charge people more money for the sake of it.

It’s WEIRD.

FlavorLav01410d ago

So we should celebrate someone else’s failures instead? No really great logic there…

1Victor409d ago (Edited 409d ago )

@senior: “ yes, even though a lot of people support sports teams there is a sense of literal community from that.”
That’s is correct but you can be a fan/supporter of a team without been a local otherwise how can these teams be popular 🤦🏿😩 or are you telling me because I live in NYC I have to support the Knicks and no one else,
I wasn’t even born in NYC or the USA so does that means I can’t support any NBA team now tell you are correct or just WEIRD

60 Mil is a suspiciously low expectation?! Is there something Sony knows that we don't?!🤔🤔 Hmmm...

anast410d ago

What do you think "that" is?

darkrider411d ago

Without the supply problems and with a slim ps5, we'll I think that 60 millions is very low target. Don't think to talk about great games, because Sony always got them.

kingnick410d ago

It won't be a lack of content that hurts the current gen consoles but if prices on the consoles themselves don't drop significantly over time and the troubling economic times we're headed for.

With the cost of living going up and interest rates increasing people don't have the disposable income they once had which means less console and software sales which means less economies of scale and less ability to lower prices.

Popsicle409d ago (Edited 409d ago )

I don’t get the hate for kingnick’s comment. To put it simply due to inflation and other economic pressures consumer purchasing power is on the decline and this is likely result in less sales. It doesn’t mean Sony won’t hit 60 million. I think they will. However, there is a high probability that that looming economic conditions will have some negative impact on sales of all non-essential consumer goods. Not just consoles.

‘Stellar Blade, but good’ is here, and it came out seven months ago

Stellar Blade might be the hot game right now, but we already got a better version of it more than half a year ago.

Stellar blade is currently higher than lies of p on metacritic with 40 more reviews. No shade on Lies of P but just pointing that out.

But i don't even know why compare them? Because both are souls type games?

Then you can just reuse this article all the time and say Elden Ring is "whatever new souls game" but good for every new souls game.

Stellar blade hate articles must be rolling with clicks...

CrimsonWing6920m ago

I mean… it’s like saying we have a better NieR with Devil May Cry. Yea, there’s some similarities, but Lies is really hardcore in the sense of emulating a FromSoft game almost perfectly, where Stellar has some Souls-like elements, but I’d say it’s closer to Sekiro than say a Dark Souls game. This almost feels click-baitey

Psychonaut8515m ago

What if, and hear me out, they’re both really good? Mind blowing, I know.

Christopher7m ago

Listen here you, that's not how this is supposed to work. You choose a side and you defend it. None of this little "what if there's more than one good game out there" nonsense.

Crows908m ago(Edited 6m ago)

Oh geez...this is why journos suck...they can't even see differences between games.

Stellar blade is nothing like lies of P. Didn't these guys give stellar a bad score? Geez they really hate it. Stop the hate! Lol

Fallout 4 is now available on next-gen consoles, but PS Plus users might be left disappointed

Probably won't happen for PS+ since Sony makes a clear distinction between a PS4 game and a PS5 game, unlike PC and Xbox where it is not a specific device game (It's now always an Xbox game).

So to make the PS5 game of fallout 4 available. Bethesda would need to renegotiate the complete deal with Sony.
hence why there's often only the PS4 version of the game available on PS+.

Let's hope Bethesda and Sony can arrive to term quickly.

I think a hard copy should be relatively cheap at this point.
