I’m signed up until 2028 and have had it since inception but this is a rare deal for people who just started on PS. I always look for deals and add a year or 2 when it’s half off .

akurtz792d ago

Where do you usually find it half off? I used to get them half off around Black Friday but the last couple years has been dry

sadraiden792d ago

semi-legal, semi-ethical, semi-not-all-of-those-things cd key sites.

S2Killinit793d ago (Edited 793d ago )

I would just get the Plus Extra for one month then upgrade to Extra annually as long as you play more than a certain number of games per year. If you only play say 3 or 4 games per year, I would just buy games normally unless you think all games you would play are games that the service already provides.

My two cents.

Someone needs to edit the subject line, this deal is for Australia only, not currently available for North America.

I just checked and it is for me.

Saw that Balatro got over 100000! Reviews on Steam. Crazy.

Only game from these three I care about is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun since it seems to be a nice fps.

darthv724d ago

boltgun is pretty damn fun... I have it on my steamdeck and it is crazy good.

DefenderOfDoom24d ago

I bought Warhammer Boltgun for the PS4. Very fun retro style FPS !

Damn, I thought the Until Dawn Remake was going to be one. Not a month for me.

S2Killinit3d ago

Pretty good month for me though. I would say great.

Tacoboto3d ago

The developer of the remake has already been effectively shut down, too.

Yui_Suzumiya4d ago

Boltgun is so much fun. I own it on Steam, PS4 and Switch (Physical). Beaten it so many times that I could probably get through it in my sleep, lol.

MaximusPrime_24d ago

Strange why people disagree with me. Probably they are illiterate or just fanboys who hates PS.

Anyway, the articles clearly said it and I just saved you a click. Thanks Moegooner for the list of countries

Mmmkay24d ago

Or maybe there is a difference between south America and Latin America..

With these reckless trade wars going on, expect videogames to keep getting more expensive.

babadivad24d ago (Edited 24d ago )

Switch prices were locked in before the Tarrifs. They just conveniently used the tarrifs as an excuse to calm outrage.

PSN is a digital service and isn't subjected to any kind of tarrifs.

They have been trying to find a way to increase the price for years.

Don't let them trick you into blaming tarrifs for corporate greed.

crazyCoconuts24d ago

When I look at Brazil, the increased price for PS Essential new users annually is equivalent to $61 USD, monthly is $7.50 USD. In the US it's more expensive. Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all along.

BeHunted24d ago (Edited 24d ago )

"Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all"

No, not every country has the same average salary as the United States. When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages, which are often very different from those in the U.S

crazyCoconuts24d ago

"When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages"
So companies should sell consoles at a large loss in impoverished countries?

Sony is run by imbeciles unfortunately

Zenzuu24d ago (Edited 24d ago )

In your own words.

*All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.*

Now, I'll change some of it.

Show us on the doll where sony touched you

anast24d ago

They have to keep up with Nintendo's prices.

Michiel198924d ago

yes they decided on this in a week, it can't be that they were planning it anyway, it couldn't have been. Not from your favourite company.

anast24d ago

It's strange. It's like you read the words, but you don't have the ability to understand them.

ARESWARLORD24d ago

I already find it to be a terrible value. Go ahead and up the price and 100% lose me.

andy8523d ago (Edited 23d ago )

Not saying a price increase is good but I'm paying £8 a month for access to 1000 games. That's absolutely not terrible value

ARESWARLORD21d ago

How many of those games are you actually playing
