Author is so desperate and starved for Zelda news he made up his own titles lol talk about stretching

Jeriphro639d ago

Did you bother reading it? It was quite insightful. Sure, the author made up title names, but they weren't uneducated guesses. They are based on proper research and understanding of the series.

The Legend of Zeldan Ring. I wouldn't mind that one bit.

dmonee704d ago (Edited 704d ago )

They need to do something. Nintendo faithfuls are gonna gobble this game up and they should. For Elden Ring players???? They’re going to take a big proverbial dump all over it. Nintendo has an opportunity to perfect this open world balance. Elden Ring is flawed. For some reason there was a middle ground that FROM software didn’t venture into, but I believe they eventually will. If they hit that sweet spot then, this new and improved, open world, Souls formula is not only going to dominate gaming, but be copied, replicated and become the de facto standard for open world games in years to come. Breath of the wild 2 has an opportunity to punch Elden ring in the face, and I hope they do, because I’m so sick and tired of losing, dying, raging, and trying again…..

I would play this if it were more like Elden Ring. Not a bad idea actually.

Breath Of The Wild 2 pushed to Spring 2023

The Legend of Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, has an update to share about the launch timing of the sequel to The Legend of #Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Please take a look.

Neonridr764d ago

Was hoping for a holiday release, but such is the norm lately with many big titles receiving a delay. Oh well, hopefully it will be that much more polished by the time it comes out.

Switch 2 Spring 2023 launch.

VenomUK764d ago (Edited 764d ago )

@ABizzel1 I came to say exactly the same thing. 😄

Switch 2 releasing Spring 2023 - let's go!

Zhipp764d ago

Ya'll are setting yourselves up for disappointment. Even if 2023 was the original plan, there's just no way Nintendo gets out a Switch 2 so early with the ongoing chip shortage -- plus Switch sales are still hanging too strong. I expect Metroid Prime 4 will be the premier launch title for Switch 2 sometime in 2024.

Grilla764d ago

The switch launch with botw was a huge success for them. They are going repeat that strategy.

septemberindecember764d ago

Not going to happen. Switch successor wont come until 2024 at the earliest. Switch is selling too well right now.

NecrumOddBoy763d ago

Today Nintendo announced that Elden Ring will win 2022 GOTY.

Petebloodyonion764d ago

It will be an holiday release just not 2022 (don't worry Nintendo will push it further back to winter)

Neonridr764d ago

I doubt it. It's already being delayed by like 4 months at least.

RaidenBlack764d ago

So ... Elden Ring is secured for GOTY this year, then?

roadkillers763d ago

Didn’t Twilight Princess get delayed like 4 times?

iplay1up2763d ago

Nintendo didn't do that with BOTW. They released it spring day 1 for the Switch release and for Wii U.

TGGJustin763d ago

@RaidenBlack Elden Ring isn't a shoe-in for GOTY if both God of War Ragnarok and Starfield release.

RPGer763d ago

Be thankful for release date. FFXVI and VIIR part2 still on NA status.

TGGJustin763d ago

There was no way this game was coming this Holiday when they already have Pokemon, Xenoblade 3, Bayonetta 3 and probably 1 or 2 other things they haven't announced yet. It was too busy for them to launch Zelda as well.

lucian229763d ago

And hope for more than 14 enemy types, a full world and that hard mode isn't 20$ again

LOGICWINS764d ago

Yup. Will likely launch alongside the Switch 2. As we all suspected, Nintendo isn't going to launch new hardware without a Zelda game to showcase it. I expect BOTW 2 to be cross-platform. $60 for the Switch version and $70 for the Switch 2 version. I'll be shocked if Ninty gives us a free upgrade.

MadLad764d ago

The only of the big 3 selling overpriced games right now is Sony.
And unless they really up the ante when it comes to actual real world performance and fidelity, I don't see that being a thing.

They already make a metric ton of money off their titles, being they consider virtually everything they make timeless and always expensive.

John_McClane764d ago

I have a PS4 pro and an Xbox one x gathering dust so I'm thinking hello Switch!

IanTH763d ago (Edited 763d ago )

I have a hard time, personally, not finding a lot of Nintendo first party games overpriced. Things like BotW or Mario Odyssey are well worth their $60, and had development budgets and timeframes to support the reason for the price tag. But games like Metroid Dread - a 2D sidescrolling Metroidvania, of which we've seen many examples of as good (or way better, IMO) examples done that cost way less ($20 even) - just feel way overpriced. Their developer size and budgets just don't justify that kind of price.

This is true of a lot of Nintendo games to me, especially when you look at their $60 ports. And that none of their games get price drops, and the most they ever go on sale is about 20% and that's if you're lucky like 2-3 years down the line. The Switch, at least for my preferences, tastes, and buying habits, has had the most overpriced games and been the lowest value console I've had in a long while. Even the Wii U was a better value to me.

I'll agree say that of the big 3, Xbox has been far more consumer friendly up to this point this gen over the others, but I don't exactly think that you can pin overpriced games squarely at Sony. Unless your sole criteria is $70 games, then I guess if you're talking 1st party releases, only Sony is doing that (as I recall).

I really think Mario Kart 9 is the title to watch for in predicting the next system launch.

MK9, Pokemon, Odyssey 2, and Animal Crossing will push Switch 2 more than Zelda or Metroid (even though Zelda and Metroid are my two favorites). If some of those are ready for 2023-2024, then I see them launching it.

Also, there's no way in hell they offer free upgrades lol!

sparky77764d ago

To the surprise of no one.

Xenoblade 3 is all I need from Switch this holiday anyway.

Outlawzz763d ago

Just in... Xeno delayed to summer 2023 !

Hahaha jk jk.... I hope lol

Xeno is my most hyped game for this year

RaidenBlack764d ago

Not surprising.
2022 was already jam-packed with native 2022 releases and 2021 delayed ones.
Expect more delays ...
