TheGamer's Meg Pelliccio says: "There’s a lot to get to grips with for Final Fantasy 16’s combat, but even while learning the ropes, you can’t shake the sense of joy that comes from the fast-paced, action-packed battles. Switching between Eikons mid-battle became an instinctive reaction, and it was fun to roll different abilities together to unleash incredible damage to those around you, while being able to pair together the right accessories to suit my gameplay style and weaknesses was a godsend.
Though we were only given a small slice of the story and characters, it was enough to whet my appetite, and I’m craving more of this darker, grittier world that Square Enix has to offer. I won’t spoil any details for you, but the preview teased an intricate narrative with misdirection, turmoil, and heartache. I think we’re set for an emotional rollercoaster in June."
Xbox ports of Final Fantasy XVI and I-IV Pixel Remasters may be set to be announced at the upcoming TGS 2024, based on the latest rumor.
Hopefully if it does get announced I really hope people actually buy it rather than hope it's on gamepass or comes to gamepass in future.
I can definitely see that happening. Great game. I hope people support it since I’m a big Square fan.
According to these new benchmark reports, Final Fantasy 16 can’t deliver 60 FPS while running native 4K resolution.
Square Enix REALLY needs to just find a solid company to outsource these PC ports... They are just butchering their own releases on PC and it's very sad to see.
no, it fluctuated from 50-70. Which, at native 4K isn't all that bad. Compared to what we get with consoles.
Final Fantasy XVI Complete Edition, thankfully, sticks the landing with all the elegance of an Imperial Dragoon.
Oh boy I guess we are allowed to play this game? Thanks for letting us know. So brave of you children to not spoil this game like Hogwarts.
