This just looks insane, Capcom have hit it out the park with this.

Krauser... Luis surviving longer and basically becoming a co-op buddy. The El Gigantes... it's just all perfect.

Can't wait for the demo.

S2Killinit428d ago

Cant wait to play this in VR!

It will be insanely good.

Orchard428d ago

I'll be playing it the way it was meant to be played - flat screen!

S2Killinit428d ago

The way “it was meant to be played”?

Clearly the developers thought VR was also a way to play it.

I’ll be playing it in VR where it will be even more impressive. But to each their own.

Options are a good thing.

Orchard428d ago (Edited 428d ago )

@S2 It's a remake of a non-VR game which was designed to be 3rd person. That's the authentic way to play.

Plus, we don't even know what the VR DLC is yet, or when it comes out.

S2Killinit428d ago (Edited 428d ago )

Imagine if people said shit like that when Mario went 3D. All games used to be side scrolling 2D at one point.

Oh well. Im going to LOVE playing this in VR. But by all means, you enjoy it how you love. No one is holding it against you.

Orchard428d ago

"Imagine if people said shit like that when Mario went 3D. All games used to be side scrolling 2D at one point."

Mario went 3D with Mario 64. That game wasn't a remake of anything.

If it was a remake of a 2D Mario Game, people would expect it to behave/play similarly.

S2Killinit428d ago (Edited 428d ago )

What does that have to do with anything?

I’ll be LOVING it in VR . That is all that matters. Im sure a lot of people would.

The fact that we now have the option to play something this good in VR is amazing. Exciting times ahead.

ApocalypseShadow428d ago

I feel you S2. A lot of these games were supposedly meant to be played on flat. But are so much better in VR. And on another level if you never played the flat version. I never bought Skyrim. Watched someone play it for 10 minutes. But experiencing it in VR as a D&D player when I was younger, Eastern and Western RPG videogame lover put the game over the top. Same with all these games like RE7, RE8, GT7, etc. I waited and now I'm going to be rewarded with true immersion. Orchard is just being himself. Herself. Whatever.

Still doesn't stop the reality, the facts that games like RE4 in VR bring gaming to another level. But he thinks looking at 3D games on a 2D television is state of the art and the thing to do for another 40 years. Who is he kidding.

Mercenaries....F*** YEAH

I do hope they have different modes for it this time, I do love collecting me some hourglasses for extra time but I need a no time limit mode to just see how long I can hold out for.

I love Luis is in the game more but I do hope they aren't trialling out co-op for a potential RE5 remake, the co-op needs to go if they remake it, why make the same mistake twice with a title which was kind of the downfall of RE.

Orchard428d ago

"but I do hope they aren't trialling out co-op for a potential RE5 remake"

Hadn't thought of that... good catch.

LucasRuinedChildhood428d ago (Edited 428d ago )

I agree that co-op likely won't be great for horror. I suppose they could make it scarier by splitting players apart so that they're alone more often ... but a full revamp of RE5 without campaign co-op is more interesting to me as well.

Co-op is no longer a focus of RE games so the only issue is if people complain about its absence.

Either way, Chris is going to have to punch a boulder though ("I'm going to murder that boulder-punching asshole ..."). That event cannot be changed. haha

-Foxtrot428d ago

" Co-op is no longer a focus of RE games so the only issue is if people complain about its absence. "

I agree which is why it makes less sense to do RE5 like the original and make the same mistake twice

They've finally got back on track with horror goodness, why do RE5 which went too far and was the start of the downfall of RE. Why not use this to make it like the original idea before co-op was involved.

RaidenBlack428d ago

RE5 Remake? Plz no.
I'd rather want Capcom make a new spin-off 3rd person RE game (since mainline RE is first person now) instead of another remake ...

Orchard428d ago

This^

Or a remake of Outbreak 1 + 2, or CV. Heck, I'd take another remake of RE1 in the modern engine + perspective over an RE5 remake. That game literally does not warrant a remake.

darkrider428d ago

Damn. What a trailer. Really pumped for this game.

Bathyj428d ago

I need a VR demo now. It's just how it is.

Orchard428d ago

The demo will likely be flat screen - the VR DLC isn't available day 1.

The 10 PSVR 2 Games You Should Own

If you're looking for 'must have' PSVR 2 games then look no further. These are the 10 titles every PSVR 2 owner should have in their library.

If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.

Speak with your wallet!

Profchaos40d ago

Bit rich to have to buy games you don't want because you want Sony to support the expensive headset they sold us which cost as much as the console it runs on beyond paying third partys to support it.
Seriously in terms of first party we have horizon on day 1 and a gt 7 vr mode.

They seemingly have made little effort to support it beyond paying Capcom to make re games in VR or a second party studio to make firewall which was mismanaged.

I'm a day 1 psvr2 user and the only thing I'm excited for right now is PC support.

I commented recently this bespoke VR game development model we have right now clearly doesn't work

crazyCoconuts40d ago

On the one hand I feel like there's been plenty of smaller non-AAA games to play and occupy me as a supplement to my flat screen gaming.
But I agree that Sony has done nothing to elevate this beyond the niche it's in and into the mainstream where it would be economical to create AAA games for it.

Babadook739d ago (Edited 39d ago )

Most of these games are worth owning for most people; I own all but 2 of them in fact. So I agree with kevco33. I think you're crazy if you downplay this list quite frankly. Sony can't keep funding software if people don't buy any of it, the ball is squarely in OUR court.

Sony has spent a lot on 3rd party stuff this gen like RE.

phoenixwing40d ago (Edited 40d ago )

Saving up for the headset is my first hurdle. Let alone buying games I don't want lol

mudakoshaka39d ago

People downvoting you for not having enough finances...what a world we live in, haha

phoenixwing39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

@mudako
They feel affronted at the very thought that I don't plunk down 500 immediately lol I have a little over 900 games in my backlog I've been buying games instead of hardware ever since I got my PC and ps5. I just don't know if vr is really for me honestly. Every time I have a couple hundred allocated to video games it makes more sense to buy a bunch of flat games instead of vr ones

mudakoshaka40d ago

I have 9 out of these 10 games. I try to buy all the VR games I like to support the advancement of VR!

TheEroica39d ago (Edited 39d ago )

I spoke with my wallet after watching the first headset get weak support. Easy pass until Sony earns my money. Feel bad for those who parted with 500 bucks, falling for the hype that Sony was actually gonna support this thing.

Neonridr40d ago

I own 7 of these titles off the list, lol.

NotoriousWhiz40d ago

I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.

Profchaos39d ago

As a fellow psvr2 owner the question seemingly comes down to do you own a PC.

I think I'm all in I have a habit to hold onto my systems anyhow I still have my psvr1 to hell I still have my NES.

But while it's still worth something yeah you could sell it and if Sony turns the ship around you should be able to buy another one for less than you soldmit for I feel like we won't see any fix for the headset for the next 2 years rumours show that Sony has no current first party VR games in active development after they closed London studios

The whole psvr2 situation has left me feeling a little burnt on PlayStation as a whole to be honest. The first psvr felt experimental but it was supported far more than this superior headset

MIDGETonSTILTS1740d ago

GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.

I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.

talocaca40d ago

I have most of them 😅

Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Was Devastated With Bugs A Month Before Launch

The Resident Evil 4 remake's director has revealed in a recent documentary that the game was riddled with bugs in its final month before launch.

Rebel_Scum56d ago

Not a big surprise really. All games are pretty rough until the very end and everything is released with bugs regardless of how the consumer quantifies it as being “polished.”

CrimsonWing6956d ago

That’s sort of how game development or any kind of software development goes. Looking for bugs and debugging, QA, and trying to scramble and polish everything before a deadline’s up.
