PlayStation®5/PlayStation ®4 school RPG "Xicatrice" will be released on June 29th (Thursday)! This work is a “supernatural x school RPG” where you lead a special unit made up of students and face dangerous missions in case of an emergency while leading a school life as a teacher.

I know NIS is not exactly a prosperous company and honestly, I'm surprised they aren't bankrupt yet. But this looks very budget. The picture of what I assume is a cutscene looks good enough, but the in-game sprites and the UI are quite rough.

Also for those wandering it's also going to be released on the Switch and no word of a western release.

On the bright side. Me and I imagine alot of us jrpg enthusiasts. We don't need them to look perfect or top shelf. I'm glad some companies are still releasing jrpgs like this in these dude bro days

Looking at their sales numbers from past releases, I'm pretty confident that are very few people shelling out $60 for games like this. So I don't know about those "enthusiasts" that you are talking about, but NIS could definitely use some more of them.

@Vits It is a niche market but there is a decent market for them . This is a dungeon crawler from the looks of it . I buy tons of lesser known JRPGS and many of them are actually really damn good and have some complicated systems that some of us really enjoy and don’t want the dumbed down casual games that many devs have moved towards.
I love some western RPGs but many of them are casual chasers like Bethesda with Elder Scrolls getting simplified each iteration , Diablo 4 dumbed down mechanics .
Graphics are nice to have but I want more with the gameplay and not hand holding simplified games that many devs make these days.

This game is probably $39.99-49.99.
