Where’s the showstopper that’ll help make PSVR2's price easier to stomach? Thankfully it’s already here, the headset’s major launch exclusive is Horizon: Call of the Mountain.
VR, at its best, should be a deeply thrilling and immersive experience. And Call of the Mountain checks all the right boxes here. An involving gameplay loop helps keep the game feeling fresh throughout, and I can only hope Sony has similar plans for its other series in VR.
Horizon: Call of the Mountain is a brilliant start for PSVR 2. And it managed to show me just how powerful this headset is.
Originally released on Steam back in 2021, Xlab Digital's tower defence game Iron Guard is available today for PSVR 2.
Zombie Army VR is creeping onto VR headsets later this month, and here's everything you need to know about Rebellion's latest.
Sony's PSVR 2 headset might convince me it's better than my Meta Quest 3.
Shoot to thrill.
It's a top notch experience with those amazing OLED panels, uncompressed clarity and the foveated rendering for improved performance for VR titles.
After that game is hard not be sold!
Its interesting how subjective games can be, one popular youtuber just wasnt that into this game, others love it. Im noit sure if my arms can handle the workout but cant wait to try
i'll be sold on psvr 2 when i see a steady stream of games being released of this caliber. i am not at all convinced that this will be the baseline for psvr2 after seeing how the original psvr was supported and how the vr space at large has turned out. I'm not saying psvr 2 isn't cool or amazing. i'm sure it absolutely is. but i'm not gonna pay more than the cost of my ps5 for a peripheral that gets only 1-2 games a year that i'm actually interested in. I've done the cutesy smaller vr games to death. I don't need to experience Thumper or Beatsaber in VR for the 3rd time.
Aside from Call of the Mountain and GT7 which do look really cool, I'm not really blown away by the launch lineup or even the coming soon games. If i see a steady stream of AAA high quality content after a year or so, then I'll be sold on psvr2.
