Ppl play them because they're free. I don't mind checking out a new free to play game since it takes zero investment. However I still prefer polished games with a price of entry. Mihoyo produces high quality games so ppl tend to gravitate toward whatever they do

It would be far less on console. Totally different crowd. This is one of the biggest most anticipated games on mobile. On console it would be almost nothing.
