Was really hoping for this when they first revealed the PS+ list. I'll be playing and hoping for the remake.

I think this is why some of these classics are taking so long. Beginning of summer before ps plus got the overhaul there was news Sony hired a team u can't remember exactly the defined role but it sounded like they would take older games and touch them up.

Oddworld
Worms got an online feature
I'm sure more has been done to some of these classics.

As far as the slow release I think of 2 things. If they are doing this then that could take a little time. 2nd if ps plus is here for the foreseeable future why would they blow there load in one shot. Makes sense to trickle it out. My only complaint would be just pick it up a little more. Give us atleast 1 psp 1 ps1 1 ps2 game a month maybe 2 of each.

I think you are onto something, they just started doing this so it took a little to get things going, hopefully and also probably they will pick up the pace the more time we give them until we have a steady release of monthly classics with added functionality.

I have plenty to play so I’m patient but I’d love for them to pick up the pace .
I’ll buy this digitally also if they never give us a physical version, which I doubt they will but ya never know .

Yep , 100 They said they wanted older games to have trophies at some point to be re-released and we saw the evidence with Okage , Wild Arms , Rogue Galaxy , Arc The Lad etc

Their patent with trophies added to retro games was years ago and they had a decent amount of games released.

I stated this at relaunch that it would most likely take time for trophy patches before we get more PS1/2 games and this is the biggest yet.

My next hope is Vagrant Story though they need cooperation from Publishers (Square In this case) to get many of the best games from the past done.

There is literally at least 100 JRPGS from ps1/2 that I would love to have so let’s see what we get ! Already getting Suikoden collection and now Legend of the Dragoon .

I don’t care if they are in the sub service or for purchase only (I would prefer a physical copy but I’ll take whatever as I own the originals of just about everything PS1/2 anyway) I just want trophy versions of classics especially JRPGS and the great Japanese horror games .

Oh no, now I’ll have to go after all those damn stardust’s lol can’t wait

Name Last Name488d ago

Do they sell these ps1 classics standalone or its Premium only?

fan_of_gaming488d ago

most of them you can buy but a few are subscription-only

FinalFantasyFanatic487d ago

I'm salty Ridge Racer was subscription-only, I'm starved for some Ridge Racer action and that franchise is pretty much dead now.

franwex488d ago

Only on PS3, and PS Vita. Not sure if PSP is available.

Premium offers quality of life improvements such a as trophies.

Lexreborn2488d ago

If you owned them previously they unlock for you with or with ps plus

myfathersbastard488d ago

I hope so. I’ve already bought it 3 times lol hopefully it’ll still show from when I bought it on my Vita

Stanjara487d ago

They announced that this one will be shortly after. Abe is stand alone also.

raWfodog487d ago

Yes, this will be available for standalone purchase, thank the dragoon gods.

Times & Galaxy review - Games Asylum

Games Asylum: "One thing Times & Galaxy isn’t short on is imagination. You play as a robotic news reporter fresh off the production line, out to make a name for themselves at the titular holo-paper. Times & Galaxy is well regarded, but readership is on the wane. As an intern, you’re tasked with covering mundane events and occurrences – such as the launch of a ‘hot’ new toy – and must put an appropriate, truthful, spin on stories to grow both your reputation and the paper’s popularity."

You can tell the passion and love that has beem poured into this game and i cant wait to get my hands on it.

franwex1h ago

See Sony? Did you have to spend an entire Gen for 1 game that costs $300,000,000?

No. Exactly.

roadkillers1h ago

If you bring money into the equation, you'll want to see the sales first. I mean, Helldivers 2 is their fastest selling game ever and that was 8 years. Spiderman is their best selling game and took 4 years, followed by God of War with 5 years, and so forth.

I'm sure this game will rock, but the cost and devlopment time is a different topic. That should include sales which we have no data on yet.
