Oh. Most of those games on this list were developed by studio's not owned or working with square enix anymore like crystal dynamics

All Square Enix JRPGs have left xbox gamepass now

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is still a jrpg, but you're right... XBox needs to be increasing their jrpg appeal, not decreasing it at this time.

It's strange, almost like Square Enix is prepping for a Sony buyout or something. First they trimmed the fat of Crystal Dynamics, IO etc... then they cut most of their Gamepass support. Finally, PS+ picks up 3 more solid jrpgs from Square Enix w Oninaki, Lost Sphear and I Am Setsuna, which rounds out an already strong Square Enix presence on PS+. Aside from Crisis Core, hardly any Square Enix titles are scheduled for release on XBox at all this year. Makes you wonder...

Yeah I didn't know builders was a jrpg and yeah square enix has been acting very strange recently considering theyr were all in om xbox gampass previous years. I feel like Microsoft was paying then alot if money previous years and recently stopped. The money that square enix was getting is now going to Atlus.

Didn't finish octopath traveler yet will have to buy it. Any recommendations on if I should buy it on the switch or Xbox. (I'm only about an hour in.)

I personally prefer the xbox version. I like achievements and higher resolution. I do basically zero handheld gaming if given a choice.

I would recommend the switch version only if you do some handheld. Otherwise xbox or PC-Not sure if it's steam deck compatible either.
