Sean @ FG: Adapting the content of the 1970's original, Colossal Cave reinvents a classic in a new dimension. The Finger Guns Review.
Colossal Cave launched for PC VR earlier this year. Now though, the game has launched on Xbox minus the VR.
I'm not sure why anyone would play this flat. It's got PS2 era graphics, and many times an enjoyable game in VR is actually just a mediocre game flat. It's the immersion of VR that gives those titles the extra something. An example, Alvo or any of the popular FPS shooters in VR, such as Zero Calibur or Contractors. Completely ordinary, actually generic shooters if they were released flat. It's the VR that elevates these games to something more special.
Was wondering why the article had PS5 tags, but I see that a PSVR2 version of the game is also in development.
Could be that interesting, I’ll keep an ear open if I hear anymore on the game.
You can't 'ditch' VR on Xbox when there is no VR function on the console to begin with.
