"If you're unfamiliar with Granblue Fantasy: Relink, it's Cygames' big debut into the AAA JRPG market for home platforms, following the successes of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game. It has been announced with the title Granblue Fantasy – Project Re:Link all the way back in 2016 and several reveals have been made since, including the streamlining of the title. It has also been delayed several times.

It involves both single-player and co-op gameplay involving up to four players, on top of a rich world created with the full development might of Cygames' studio in Osaka. The studio has been building up over the past few years to develop cutting-edge console games."

In short, yes! It was a mobile game initially which is why it flew under the radar but if this game captures the setting perfectly, it could be huge. It was one of my first mobile games and I instantly loved it. If they can capture the same feeling while bringing it inline with modern games, it should be a sleeper hit.

On another note since you mention mobile. Maybe a game being mobile 1st can set up console game in a good way. Have the world etc already build. Just a thought.

Ugh. Nothing worse than enemies who dont have hitstun animations. Just end up being tanks that you hack & slash. Hope they ease up on that.

for me this will quench my real Tales hunger, don't get me wrong, Tales of Arise is a great game but It didn't feel a proper tales to me. No world map exploration, no secret world, no hidden quest, etc.

I haven't played it yet but tales of arise really has no world map? I'd be pretty disappointed if it was linear like in the vain of ff10. While I liked ff10 it was the last one that I liked.

sad to say no world map, only 6 realms to explore with less than 10 quests in it XD. No ocean for ships to explore, no airships, etc. Good thing the graphics and combat gameplay are great.

Oh thank you...i always have problem with my eyes...but even so i stand my opinion.

This game reminds me of 2000s rpg, there were many rpgs back then with typical world, very cool looking character designs, complicated armor, colourful outfits, and "moe". They're quite rare these days (Tales of... and Star Ocean are some of them) with Final Fantasy being closer to real world tone and even Y's have been using more modest anime style graphic.

They said that's not the case. They're in the absolute final stretch of development and they simply did not make it in time to finalize the release date. There are still 11 months in 2023, last time I checked.
