Gaming is evolving year by year and there seem to be no signs of slowing down. Here's what we think the future of gaming could hold.
Fallout London hasn't exactly had an ideal launch—crashing issues have been reported by players—but overall reaction is still posititve.
Console Creatures writes, "The BioShock film at Netflix is still happening but with a reduced budget."
It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.
Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.
I'll laugh if it turns out to be better then the Borderlands movie
Super Mario Odyssey was the Nintendo Switch’s debut for the franchise, and we saw our red-hatted friend don a new piece of gear that doubled as his new sidekick, Cappy. With so many characters getting some prominent screen time, Luigi felt completely uninvited to this party. That’s why we can’t help but think that Nintendo has something special cooked up for him in Super Mario Odyssey 2.
It looks grim.
You can only have fun if you pay hundreds on microtransactions in a single game.
disgusting! incomplete and unoptimized games with 10 paid dlc's in a span of a few years
Heavily monetized pay to win GASS
I honestly don't have much hope for consoles and AAA. MTX are still a things that hasn't been very regulated and subscription services are getting worse. Not just in gaming but in many other industries, to the point where hardware and software has been held hostage til people fork over more money.
I think where the most interesting things are happening right now is on the PC hardware side. Handheld PC's are probably the coolest thing I've seen happening so far. VR also doesn't seem to be slowing down and I think we'll start to see more focus on that along with AR in the decade.
