PlayStation Plus lineup for January: Back 4 Blood, Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, Life is Strange

B4B is the definition of mediocrity. It feels like it should be good, but it's just...off somehow. Then you remember L4D/L4D2 and how much a remaster of that would be more fun. One day, please, Valve?

Sad though isn't it, it had all the genetic makeup needed to be L4D3 - but, as you said, something felt off. Plus I hated that card system. It overcomplicated a great formula.

I already own DMC and DBZ, and I also already played Back 4 Blood on Game Pass, but I'm very glad they included Sayonara Wild Hearts, I've been waiting to play that game forever.

Back 4 Blood is a great time, and DMC 5 is DMC 5. I'm also a big fan of the original Life is Strange, but it's weird they didn't get the remastered versions.

Interesting selection, I have to wonder if game companies have a list of their games they give to MS/Sony that they can put on their sub services. because I'm noticing a lot of the PS games are games that have already been on Game Pass.

Perhaps. But remember Sony included a lot of games in Plus. I wouldn't be surprised. There are a bunch of people redoing their PSVR 1 games. I totally expect some devs to take advantage of flipping their game for the PSPlus check.

PS Plus also has its own day ones. They just dont advertise that first party games will be day one. Which isnt a big deal to me.

Well, I cant. But I know we’ve had them. The most recent one was Stray, and DKO: Devine Knockout.

You can search xbox’s day one releases so far for all the years gamepass has been a thing and you can see that the list is very short as well. Look it up. (21 titles so far)

When I look at the two services, I notice PS Plus has bigger titles in it. So if you miss any heavy hitters in the Sony lineup, it makes it much more worthwhile.

I hope it being on PS+ means avalanche will patch the 720p glitch when playing on ps5. For some reason when running in BC on os5 JC4s dynamic resolution defaults to 720p and never budges.

Also, I highly recommend checking out Back 4 Blood. Especially if you liked L4D.
