CCG writes - "If you enjoy shoot ‘em up games and cheesy sci-fi films, Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers should be on your radar. The game is over pretty quick, but it’s a fun ride while it lasts."
WTMG's Leo Faria: "Even though Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers is beyond frustrating, I didn’t think it was that disappointing. It’s still very unique and completely bonkers. Its premise is set, and needs no improvements. Its gameplay design choices render it annoying to deal with right now, but I honestly think a second attempt, with a smaller playable character and better balancing, would result in one of the best bullet hell shooters in years. As of now, this is a fun diversion, but a flawed one."
“March was yet another jam-packed month for indie games, especially when it came to VR titles so let's dive in and revisit the very best.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
"Assemble Entertainment and China-based publishing partner WhisperGames, Brazilian film company Fehorama Filmes, and developer Loomiarts are thrilled to announce that the 1950s sci-fi-inspired, fast-paced 2D shooter "Squad 51 vs. the Flying Saucers", is available today for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Store." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
