By the end of the year, Switch should be around 120m, PS5 near 30m and Series around 21m

Sonic1881490d ago

In two years the PS5 should be at 45-50 million and Xbox series S/X should be at 30-35 million

Eonjay489d ago

In two years time the PS5 will be at 70 million at least.

Eonjay490d ago

I'ma say 33 million for PS5. They seem dead set on 37 million by end of fiscal 22. So a conservative guess would be 33.5 million.

Next week Switch outsells the Gameboy and becomes the third best selling videogame console of all time.

septemberindecember491d ago

Edit: actually technically this article is about two weeks off. So technically the Switch already has, they just haven't made the article with the data.

Vchartz numbers are not valid.

Eonjay490d ago

Switch and PlayStation numbers are guesses and Xbox numbers are complete fan fiction. They are not 'estimates' because you can infer trends from actual results and make valid predictions which is something that they refuse to do.

Babadook7490d ago (Edited 490d ago )

Yup. And analysts are putting the gap (ps5 vs xs) at much greater than VGChartz. The same thing happened last gen too.

Orchard490d ago

Except that isn’t true. The source is the same for all of them - retailers.

So they’re equally as accurate or inaccurate.

Eonjay490d ago

@Orchard
This simply cannot be true. For the last 5 months VG said either Switch or Xbox sold more in the US and for the last 5 months they have been wrong.

Babadook7490d ago (Edited 490d ago )

@Orchard

Retailers were the source for vgchartz last gen. Years later they changed the numbers admitting that xb1 was never selling as well as they claimed.

derek490d ago

@Orchard they are off for both Sony and Nintendo but they are at least adjusted based on actual numbers from both companies. Microsoft doesn't give out numbers hasn't done so for years so vchartz numbers for xbox are just estimates of estimates, they're complete fiction.

They're estimates sure, but I can't see them being too far off.

@derek Vchartz numbers are not valid.
Don’t waste your time they think un confirmed guessed numbers are real, some times they don’t even fix their numbers when official numbers get announced by Sony and Microsoft DON’T ANNOUNCE SALES NUMBERS 🤦🏿

I’m just happy as a gamer all consoles are doing good and are healthy ..

CorndogBurglar490d ago

What are you doing here? Don't you know you either have to be a Playstation fan and talk trash about Xbox or an Xbox fan and talk trash about Playstation?

The nerve of some people....
