With its small price and stark simplicity, Impaler is one-man project built for short sessions.
The Humble Boomer Shooters Bundle just launched recently. It has eight items including Nightmare Reaper, Deadlink, Graven, and more.
The only one of these I have is Wrath, so this is a definite grab for me. Keep the boomer shooters rolling.
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "So is Impaler worth a purchase? There’s fun to be had here, even if I think the genre it places itself into is a somewhat self-defeating move. The moment-to-moment combat is pretty fun, and the enemy variety is solid, but the lack of weapon swapping and the same old arena do hamper the experience. This probably isn’t the greatest compliment you can give a game, but at the end of the day, it’s three dollars. Give it a shot if you like shooters; you’ve almost certainly spent three bucks on worse things before."
ESTNN Writes - "Back in the 90s, when games were harder to come by, you could play the same damn game a million times without getting bored. People would repeatedly play something like Duke Nukem 3D to discover more secret places. Beat the game at a harder difficulty, try different ways of handling specific parts of the game, or set themselves challenges such as limiting a run to only using certain weapons. "
