"Call of Duty gamers are neither ‘special’ nor ‘unique’," says Microsoft

Microsoft has said Call of Duty isn't quite as important as it's being made out to be as the publisher defends Activision Blizzard acquisition deal.

The story is too old to be commented.

They wouldn't be buying it if it wasn't important.

Microsoft always lying.

Dude, the mental gymnastics MS is doing to try and getting this approved is incredible, "we are paying 70 billion because of Candy Crush, totally...what? COD? What is that? A fish? No thank you, do not like fish"

M$ is paying $70 billion for the entirety of Activision Blizzard but all anyone is talking about is Call of Duty. I'd say people are blowing CoD's importance a little out of proportion. IDK what it's worth exactly but the series has a similar number of players to Minecraft and nobody was losing their minds over that acquisition.

They are special because they've numbers.

Can anyone make the list of lies that Microsoft is saying? I lost count. I tried to do it, but it's just crazy.

I lost count of how many articles I seen today about this. Hell lost count of how many articles I seen since the beginning. Kinda getting old tbh then the comment section be full of the same old argument back in forth since the beginning the same people the same words. Then you got all those phil says.
Looked in the pending section there even more.

These constant articles are Microsoft's attempt to be relevant without decent games. It's hopium for their fan base.

They said themselves that Sony's games are better. That must hurt. But just wait till E3 / next year / next gen / next Phil says episode...zzz

MS is say CoD isn’t that important and Sony is acting like is the most important game in the world…

Can't be that important if they don't mind it staying on PS for 10+ years.

69 Billion dollars say it's pretty important.

Microsoft downplaying their own products in order to get the deal through also speaks to that.

You know what's funny about this whole thing, "Phase 2" of the investigation could have been avoided if MS gave the CMA the commitments they wanted. And the fact that they choose to let Phase 2 happen instead tells you that unless things are in writing and a contract, Phil's talk is JUST talk, not to be trusted.
