Capcom seriously needs to stop. Co-op is the only MP experience that RE needs and more specifically approach it as you did for Outbreak. That was the most Genius way to approach online MP for an RE game. Why the hell they can’t figure this out is seriously beyond me.
I’m a stupid RE fanboy so I gave this a try. It’s just your typical competitive MP chaotic gaming experience. Everyone running around trying to off each other as many times as they can before the time limit is up. I got bored immediately and it only cycles between 2 maps with 1 mode.

They need to stop doing these tacked on, awful, arcadey MP experiences. Just give us an Outbreak remake bundle and ship it with a remake of RE CV. It’ll sell like hot cakes.

What are you talking about? The two Outbreak games were great, and were definitely part of the old school RE games.

Why do they keep pushing this so hard? My assumption is they need a good enough multiplayer game to push microtransactions?
But you’re assuming enough people play this and enjoy it enough to purchase microtransactions. Just because you add monetization to a game doesn’t mean it’ll make money.
It's like co-op, either multiplayer or co-op they feel the need to push in places it doesn't belong
They literally have two options
1) Co-op - Bring back Outbreak and make that your primary co-op based series
2) Make Mercenaries bigger, add new modes, maps, characters and add some sort of horde mode, this will be your multiplayer.
