Game Chronicles Review: Rubik's World

GC writes: "Rubik's World takes you on a magical tour of the world of the cube and 8 amazing puzzles; you can even solve the regular Rubik's Cube as well as other different sized cubes. Okay, the game is not the best thing since the Rubik's Cube but it is a fun game and has a few interesting puzzles to while away some time.

You have a regular Rubik's Cube to solve as well as a smaller and larger version using the touch screen and pen to turn the sides. This use of the touch screen works very well and is a great way to work the cube and a game, you simply drag a cube side and it will turn the section in the direction you move the pen."

MyGamer: Rubiks World Review

MyGamer writes: "Rubik's World is probably one of the only games to come out last year with vastly different game types that almost never connect to the greater whole and still managed to be very playable. At the lower 20 dollar price point, it does put it in direct competition with better, more well known puzzle games, namely Brain Age. This probably shouldn't stop anyone obsessed with interesting puzzles from buying it. While Rubik's World shouldn't be on the top of anyone's puzzle game list, it should still probably be somewhere on it. With interesting puzzles and vastly different events to jump into at any given moment, Rubik's World manages to be an easy recommendation for the person looking for another DS puzzle game".

GiN Review: Rubik's World

GiN writes: "When I was in college, a favorite pastime had me sitting down and timing my then-girlfriend, now soon-to-be wife, Mary at how fast she could put together a Rubik's Cube. She could usually do it in just under a minute.

I've always been one for a good puzzle, and in my mind, there is no puzzle higher in fun or prestige than the Rubik's Cube. So imagine my intrigue and skepticism when Rubik's World showed up for the Wii with its multi-colored "Cubies" in tow."

Gaming Nexus: Rubik's World DS Review

Gaming Nexus writes: "Ah, the Rubik's Cube. That innocent little puzzle that almost every kid has owned, and subsequently gone crazy trying to solve. The twisting, turning 3X3 cube made of cubes can be more maddening to solve for the inexperienced than the perverse "spilled milk" all-white jigsaw puzzle. The Cube has inspired competitions between professional solvers, insane time record videos on Youtube, and the popular Kobayashi Maru solution of disassembling the Cube and putting the pieces back in order. The Rubik's Cube has been a national phenomenon for several decades, so publisher Game Factory thought it would be a good idea to make a game based on the puzzle, and set developer Two Tribes to work making the games. Two Tribes developed two titles based on the Cube, one for Wii and DS, and I tried out the DS one first."
