This is stupid. I got a bigger hard drive and now I can download more. I’m not sure the author has ever been to an arcade before

IanTH952d ago (Edited 952d ago )

I think it's a bit uncharitable to call it stupid, but it does come off as...perplexing for a gaming dedicated site to say some of the things said in the article.

That the value of gaming subscription services "hadn't occurred to them" seems kinda nuts. I think I get the arcade thought process - just that a bunch of cheap games on top of not having to delete them makes it so you have more options immediately at the press of a button - but arcade is definitely a stretch. And it does still feel like an odd revelation for a gaming site to have.

Hopefully all that choice remains exciting for them. After years of collecting cheap PC game bundles, I have an embarrassing amount of games I'll never play (not even counting my console stuff), with like 200 games installed. I thought having them ready would increase my chances of playing more games....yet instead of bouncing between games with excitement, I dread choosing then learning a new game, so tend to retreat to the familiar instead lol.

Saw that Balatro got over 100000! Reviews on Steam. Crazy.

Only game from these three I care about is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun since it seems to be a nice fps.

darthv7245d ago

boltgun is pretty damn fun... I have it on my steamdeck and it is crazy good.

DefenderOfDoom245d ago

I bought Warhammer Boltgun for the PS4. Very fun retro style FPS !

Damn, I thought the Until Dawn Remake was going to be one. Not a month for me.

S2Killinit45d ago

Pretty good month for me though. I would say great.

Tacoboto44d ago

The developer of the remake has already been effectively shut down, too.

Yui_Suzumiya45d ago

Boltgun is so much fun. I own it on Steam, PS4 and Switch (Physical). Beaten it so many times that I could probably get through it in my sleep, lol.

MaximusPrime_66d ago

Strange why people disagree with me. Probably they are illiterate or just fanboys who hates PS.

Anyway, the articles clearly said it and I just saved you a click. Thanks Moegooner for the list of countries

Mmmkay66d ago

Or maybe there is a difference between south America and Latin America..

With these reckless trade wars going on, expect videogames to keep getting more expensive.

babadivad65d ago (Edited 65d ago )

Switch prices were locked in before the Tarrifs. They just conveniently used the tarrifs as an excuse to calm outrage.

PSN is a digital service and isn't subjected to any kind of tarrifs.

They have been trying to find a way to increase the price for years.

Don't let them trick you into blaming tarrifs for corporate greed.

crazyCoconuts66d ago

When I look at Brazil, the increased price for PS Essential new users annually is equivalent to $61 USD, monthly is $7.50 USD. In the US it's more expensive. Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all along.

BeHunted66d ago (Edited 66d ago )

"Just an observation that maybe they've been getting a better deal all"

No, not every country has the same average salary as the United States. When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages, which are often very different from those in the U.S

crazyCoconuts65d ago

"When releasing games and consoles, pricing should be based on the local economy and wages"
So companies should sell consoles at a large loss in impoverished countries?

Sony is run by imbeciles unfortunately

Zenzuu66d ago (Edited 66d ago )

In your own words.

*All are welcome to Switch 2. Microsoft Games Studios is interested in long term profits and market value not petty fanboy thoughts.*

Now, I'll change some of it.

Show us on the doll where sony touched you

anast66d ago

They have to keep up with Nintendo's prices.

Michiel198966d ago

yes they decided on this in a week, it can't be that they were planning it anyway, it couldn't have been. Not from your favourite company.

anast66d ago

It's strange. It's like you read the words, but you don't have the ability to understand them.

ARESWARLORD66d ago

I already find it to be a terrible value. Go ahead and up the price and 100% lose me.

andy8565d ago (Edited 65d ago )

Not saying a price increase is good but I'm paying £8 a month for access to 1000 games. That's absolutely not terrible value

ARESWARLORD62d ago

How many of those games are you actually playing
