The Last Of Us Part 2's Rat King Encounter Is The Series’ Scariest Moment

TheGamer Writes "As a series that focuses on the most unsettling downfall of humanity by turning people into walking scabs, The Last of Us has more than its fair share of scary moments. Just mention the university basement, school gym, or elevator scenes from Part 1 and any fan will curl up in a ball and slowly rock back and forth, trembling as they murmur “Grounded run” to themselves over and over."

Hope Factions has rat kings to fight with pals.

Well, it's interesting...

The Rat King is a real hero in disguise.
Avenged Joel many times for us by killing Abby.

elazz916d ago

Joel had it coming. If there was one thing the last of us showed was that there are no happy endings and everyone will make questionable moral choices. There is no hero.

(SPOILERS FOR LAST OF US 2)

Exactly! Joel was a bad person who did horrible things. Straight up. Everything he did for Ellie, was all from a selfish standpoint. To help himself with his grief over losing his daughter. Loved him as a character, but he most definitely had it coming after everything he did. The man made so many enemies throughout the first game. It came as no surprise at all with how things played out.

Please feel free to share what horrible and questionable things he did.

Murdered at least 100 people based on the game. People will say it was kill or be killed, but people always forget the part where Tommy alludes.to the fact that Joel has killed people who Tommy considered innocent, during their time with raiding groups.

Questionable choice, damning the world because he grew attached to Ellie and selfishly wanted a Sarah 2.0

Killed Marlene who was Ellies actual guardian after her mother, when Marlene put her gun down for a non violent conflict.

Questionable choice, killed a doctor (when there are clearly few left in the world to begin with) because he had a scale and wanted to help save the world, when he could have simply shot him in the leg if anything or overpowered him like he's done so many other people.

Joel is/was a great and complicated character but he was just as grimy, and the only reasons he's likeable is because we play as him well after most of his darkest deeds have already taken place.

It seems snookies completely missed everything and abizzle doesn’t know what murder means.

Crazy the justifications people will make to kill children.

goldwyncq915d ago

I hope you'll say the same about Abby or Ellie if they ever get their comeuppance in the next game. After all, they too killed hundreds of people for selfish reasons and did plenty of awful shit throughout the game.

Yah, so why write a headline spoiling it? And with a picture?!?

Shadowsteal916d ago

The game is 2 years old at this point and has been as cheap as $10. Everyone who was remotely interested in playing it had plenty ample opportunities.

Not scarier than the stalkers
