PS5 has reached 2 million sales in Japan, tracking slightly behind PS4

The PlayStation 5 has crossed the two million consoles sold milestone in Japan, however, it’s become the slowest modern Sony console to do so

This means that the console managed to cross the two million threshold in 101 weeks, or just short of two years following its launch. For comparison, the PS4 took 90 weeks to do so, and the PS3 even shorter, at 73 weeks.

they really should determine how successful these sales are by how many accounts created along side.

Still don't see any in Australian retailers. People have given up.

Japan is becoming far more of a handheld/mobile country. But it also doesn't help that both their main franchises (DQ and FF) haven't had an entry on the PS5 yet.

Well the other thing people tend to forget to mention is the size of the PS5. When I was in Japan via the military I made friends off base and alot of homes and apartments are small. My friend had a vertical bathtub because it was so small. But that seemed to be standard over there.
