Resident Evil 2, 3, 7, and 8 Cloud Versions Headed to Switch This Year

Capcom announced the release dates for the cloud versions of four Resident Evil games will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

Resident Evil Village Cloud will launch on October 28, Resident Evil 2 Cloud on November 11, Resident Evil 3 Cloud on November 18, and Resident Evil 7 biohazard Cloud on December 16.

Please... Please stop this... These "Cloud" versions are AWFUL. Seriously, does anyone actually find these acceptable? Just don't even bother bringing it over, if you can't get a console to run it natively...

Also, you have to be online to play these, yes? Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of the Switch being a portable console?

They got the RE engine running on the Switch and it runs really well, they easily could put a studio on these projects and make ports, but instead we get cheap Cloud versions.

Frustrating as a fan of RE that would absolutely buy some of the games again to have them portably (no I'm not getting a Steam Deck yet). Same with Kingdom Hearts yet we got Cloud versions too.

if you don't take the Switch out of your house, is it still a portable console? Some people keep their Switch docked to the TV all the time. Thus it's just a console to them.

No thanks. I have the digital native PS5 versions of each thanks to the PS4 upgrade method. I will NEVER support cloud games

The rubber banding it crazy in Resident Evil Village. I tried the demo and it barely ran, lol
