Soumik writes, "if you’re into 3d platformers this one might just scratch the itch and also bring some action to the mix. This is truly an indie gem and if you give it the time it will definitely value your time. After nearly 10 hours with this game, I can recommend this game to you if the art style and experimental gameplay look attractive to you."
CCG writes - "Trifox bills itself as a “twin-stick action adventure” that’s “inspired by the golden age of 3D platformers” (from the ‘90s), and the game does have a very ‘90s feel to it. Minimal story, an anthropomorphic animal “mascot” character you play as, different environments— even the level select screen looks quite similar to the “hub” in many Crash Bandicoot games, with portals taking you to the different locations. However, despite the description talking about it being a 3D platformer, if you go in thinking you’ll be doing a lot of jumping and dodging in that sense, you’re going to be surprised. This is, by far, a top-down combat game, with some simple pressure-pad puzzles and a few short, straightforward platforming segments; platforming makes up 5-10% of this game at most and isn’t particularly challenging. It’s the combat aspects you’ll spend the most time on."
“I had a very good time with Trifox and its large variety of weapons and abilities to work with. It can be rough around the edges at times but there's still no denying that there's something special here that more games could take inspiration from.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
"The indie games publisher Big Sugar and Kortrijk-based (Belgium) indie games developer Glowfish Interactive, are today super happy and excited to announce that their top-down twin-stick action adventure “Trifox”, is coming to the PS5 and PS4 via PSN on November 23rd, 2022." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
