Chris from Videolamer writes "Tales of Symphonia is one of the Gamecube's greatest RPGs. I only got around to finishing it a couple of months ago at the urging of several friends. I was further encouraged to play through it by the impending release of its sequel, Dawn of the New World. Unfortunately, DotNW does not live up to its predecessor's legacy and instead spends much of the time in its shadow.
Some of this is inevitable. Tales of Symphonia ends with the merger of two worlds, and much of the sequel deals with what happens afterward. The two lands of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla do not really get along, and bizarre weather events trouble the entire world. A lot of blame is naturally cast at the heroes of the first game. Lloyd, in particular, seems to have gone off the deep end as he instigates a massacre of a town during the game's beginning."
41 trophies to unlock with a good amount of variety. Be warned, light spoilers.

Kotaku - This past weekend in Yokohama, 25,000 Japanese fans gathered for Tales of Festival 2013 over the course of two days. And since the conversation at an event like this turns to all things Tales, we at Kotaku East decided to give voice to a few fans about their favorite Tales games and more. As you’ll see from their responses, these fans have favorites across the entire series, and they are definitely loyal to the core when it comes to Tales.
Such a fantastic JRPG series
can't wait for Tales of Xillia in August, for North America
surprised I dont see Tale of Symphonia on here. Most of them seem to like the recent Tales games tho so i guess there only playing what they can get their hands on.
I'm kind of amazed at the popularity of Vesperia. Yes, the characters were fantastic... but the setting was pretty shallow for a Tales Of game, and the overall narrative was pretty dull IMHO.
