They added a difficulty option for the police something we all used during nfs ps2 era.

How about having actually speed not rubber banding bs like you had in heat?

Though they helped with battlefield 2042 so no doubt the devs have no license to drive and believe a ford f150/crown vic can match a konessege/lambo/nissian in the speed/handling department.

Love the hate regarding things you have no clue about yet, great mindset!

In Heat they borderline ruined the game for me. In the beginning I'd start up a second race and run into a cop in the middle of the race. All hell would break loose and if I were at level 3 Heat, forget about it, Id lose my money and the multiplier for my Rep points.

Yea, once you get a decent car going and parts it's way more manageable, but when you're first starting out it can break the game for you and ruin any fun you were having.

Need for Speed will return in “new and interesting ways,” says EA

Support for Need for Speed Unbound has ended as Criterion focuses on the new Battlefield.

RaidenBlack130d ago

Plz no live service only NFS.
You already tried that with the reboot which was online only.

FinalFantasyFanatic129d ago

I can totally see them doing that again.

andy85129d ago

Just give me Underground 2 remastered

Fonsecap129d ago

Don't known if you're aware, but there is a modding team remastering the game in unreal engine 5, look for it it's looking good.

ApocalypseShadow129d ago

But no Burnout since you bought the competition to kill their game. And what's left of Criterion who stayed, were put to make your game need for speed. Don't care what ways it comes back. It's EA. No buy.

CosmicTurtle129d ago

They bought Criterion for their middleware engine Renderware I believe. But the studio was a bonus.

TheColbertinator129d ago

I enjoyed NFS Heat but they never built properly on that.

When to expect a great one should be the question. Must be 15 years

Dandalandan117149d ago

Why can't they just give fans what they want?
Remake NFSU, NFSU2, or the original Most Wanted.
Or what about a new Burnout game perhaps?

Deathtracker149d ago

We've been waiting for these remakes since, like, forever.

badboyz09149d ago

I'll wait for Midnight Club😁

The_Hooligan149d ago

Same. They should remaster the trilogy. I'll buy it day 1. I still have all three for the PS2.

Michiel1989149d ago

fuck need for speed, give us a new burnout by Criterion

Fonsecap149d ago

Search YouTube for Need for speed underground 2 remaster, modders are porting the game to UE

How Need for Speed has reinvented itself for 30 years

"Need for Speed has always been too ahead of its time." An in-depth development team interview, covering 30 years of NfS.

gold_drake171d ago

underground 1 and 2 are still the best ones.

isarai170d ago

And they're spent every game after that trying to chase that high and never meeting it

Ninver169d ago

Makes you think if gamers are looking to relive nostalgia or each dev that has attempted to mimic the glory days are just incompetent?

DarXyde169d ago

Truth. Loved Midnight Club.

I wouldn't be mad at another proper Underground or Most Wanted (PS2/X360) entry though.
