Dear Ea is it really that hard to remake 2005 Mostwanted or Underground 1 or rebirth Hotpursuit 2??
every 2 years we get crap instead of what will make us give you our money with Excitement. 70.00 is lot of money for a cartoony game.

Because it has cartoon elements it's automatically worth less?

Also, why not give it a chance before you reject it? I'm glad they are trying something new with the art-style, and I hope they've nailed the gameplay. Criterion has a lot of experience and it's a good director at the helm.

In the article they actually write, "In a current gaming climate where there are plenty of remakes and safe sequels, brand new iterations are hard to come by." I completely agree with this, but if we had your thinking developers should not try something new but just do remakes or safe sequels to popular entries.

Like this direction. Hopefully it's a good game.

EazyC985d ago

I like them trying something different. NFS needs something to reinvigorate it.

Looks pretty good for the most part, but I hope you can turn off the cartoon pop ups. I could see that be distracting or to much going on.

Need for Speed Unbound races onto Amazon Luna cloud gaming service

Luna+ subscribers can stream Criterion’s open-world arcade racer on Amazon’s cloud gaming service.

There’s no way the Luna player base is more than 50,000 people. I’d love to see their numbers

Need for Speed will return in “new and interesting ways,” says EA

Support for Need for Speed Unbound has ended as Criterion focuses on the new Battlefield.

RaidenBlack138d ago

Plz no live service only NFS.
You already tried that with the reboot which was online only.

FinalFantasyFanatic138d ago

I can totally see them doing that again.

andy85138d ago

Just give me Underground 2 remastered

Fonsecap138d ago

Don't known if you're aware, but there is a modding team remastering the game in unreal engine 5, look for it it's looking good.

ApocalypseShadow138d ago

But no Burnout since you bought the competition to kill their game. And what's left of Criterion who stayed, were put to make your game need for speed. Don't care what ways it comes back. It's EA. No buy.

CosmicTurtle138d ago

They bought Criterion for their middleware engine Renderware I believe. But the studio was a bonus.

Amplitude5d ago (Edited 5d ago )

Burnout and Motorstorm were by far the best arcade racers. Forza Horizon is up there too.

Need For Speed is like that guy you used to kinda be friends with in high school who’s now a broke homeless drug addict but you still nod when you walk by, hoping he’ll get better. But he never will

TheColbertinator138d ago

I enjoyed NFS Heat but they never built properly on that.

When to expect a great one should be the question. Must be 15 years

Dandalandan117158d ago

Why can't they just give fans what they want?
Remake NFSU, NFSU2, or the original Most Wanted.
Or what about a new Burnout game perhaps?

Deathtracker158d ago

We've been waiting for these remakes since, like, forever.

badboyz09158d ago

I'll wait for Midnight Club😁

The_Hooligan157d ago

Same. They should remaster the trilogy. I'll buy it day 1. I still have all three for the PS2.

Michiel1989158d ago
