Microsoft's Newest Advocate Is...Your Mom?

Forget lingerie, 1,000 women hosted Xbox parties this past weekend.

To many, Nintendo's Wii is the family console whereas the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are devices designated for the "hardcore" market. Not satisfied with this generalization (nor its limited market and hence profitability), Microsoft has pursued efforts to realign perception of their console, including the recent New Xbox Experience. Now, the company is pursuing alternative marketing methods to get the word out about the changes since their midlife identity crisis.
