Nintendo Launching Wii Video Service Next Year

The Wii will get its own video distribution service next year, according to Japan's Nikkei business daily newspaper. It will take a different approach than the ones Sony and Microsoft pursued on their respective consoles.

I dunno, I'm not really in the market for something else sucking off my storage space until they finally put out a true storage solution. Where's our Hard drive addon nintendo?

I don't see how this works without some sort of storage solution. You have to cache the data locally some how.

"I'm sorry, but you do not have enough 'Wii Blocks' to stream 'Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.' I have taken the liberty of deleting enough save game data to make room."

Family programming? Great, now I get to watch Step by Step and Full House (remade for Wii) in glorious 320x240 resolution. No need for standard definition resolution because people will buy the content regardless.
