Christian Gaming: "It's flattering to think the video game industry is somehow immune to the negative effects of a weak economy, but it isn't necessarily all roses and butterflies. How many people have to lose their jobs or how many studios are going to close before people can come to the conclusion that everyone is going to be effected. This industry doesn't exist inside a bubble safe from all factors, and while it has redeeming aspects that will help lessen the blow, it will still be hit. Midway, Free Radical and a Factor five are either completely folding or are having to make serious cuts to the number of staff, just to name a few companies that have been hit particularly hard so far. Tough times are ahead for all, and I want to offer up some comments on the situation and get a response on how you think this industry is going to cope with a weak economy."
