QUAKE Wars announced for PS3 and 360

Up until now the online battle between the GDF and Strogg was to be a pleasure enjoyed by PC gamers only, but now next-gen console owners can look forward to it as well. id Software has announced that Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is being ported to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The PC game is currently in development at Splash Damage, but each console version is being handled by a separate development team.

"We're pleased to be working with Nerve and Z-Axis to bring the highly-anticipated gameplay from Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars to the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system," said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software.

Well listening to John Carmack anyone could have known even months ago, but now it's confirmed.

I love how something most of us have known for MANY MONTHS, suddenly gets "announced", and it's news.

I hope they bring back the fast gameplay of the original Quake.

I hope the ps3 version will be much better than the 360 like Oblivion

Not Oblivian, so How did you get there?

Fx35 you are an annoying fanboy who can't post any comment with some form of thought or thinking. The PS3 and 360 version will probaly be the same, the only reason Oblivion looks a little better is because they have had 8 months or so more dev time to make the game look that nuch better.

MOST of the improvements they've made to the PS3 version, will be done on PC/360 with a patch, included with 'Shivering Isles'.
The funny thing is, these Sony morons think they're getting something "special", when they're really just getting a year-old port, without all the extra content PC/360 owners have already enjoyed. Hell, I finished NOTN about 6 weeks ago, and that was originally something the PS3 version was getting "exclusively".

If the games nothing speacial on the PS3 version which is superior, what does that say for our version?
