Evil West delayed to November 22, 2022

Evil West gets a new release date.

monkey602663d ago

I was thinking of picking this up during the quiet spell. Theres no way this will win my time over god of war or callisto. I would imagine this delay will hurt them

sourOG662d ago

Exactly. Perfect window for a new IP that looks pretty damn cool. There was nothing. It must have been a bad bug or something to give that up.

If they are using that time just to polish a little bit then that was a dumb move. Do that shit after you launch and collect yours lol. It will definitely hurt their sales. Even if it sells good it could have sold better, no question. They have to know this though, it must be bad.

monkey602662d ago

Yeah I doubt this was a decision made easily anyway.

sourOG662d ago

Dumb! Let’s go head to head with GOW.

Aloymetal662d ago

This will get delayed again no doubt, going against Ragnarok and even Calisto is a bad decision.

Nice... I just bought Evil West a couple months ago but never opened it. Now I won't have to. And i hear good things about Plague Tale.

crazyCoconuts165d ago

Plagues Tail Req is good. One of my favorite Dual Sense trigger effects on the slingshot.

Nobody Saves the World is amazing too, SkillUp did a great review of it

Samonuske165d ago

On the same boat with evil west still have it unopened.

FinalFantasyFanatic164d ago (Edited 164d ago )

I already bought Evil West on PC just recently, I've owned Nobody Saves the World for a long time, I really loved the first Plague Tale game, I was waiting for it to hit $30 on Steam before I bought it.

Considering the games, this is one of the best months we've had in a while.

thorstein164d ago

I have every one of these on my wishlist. This is great!

I loved the first Plague Tale.

Evil West is so good! Had a blast playing that game. Very fun

Seriously, definitely a pre-order I don't regret, and the lore is actually cool as hell

Chocoburger182d ago

Some really interesting games on that list, a few I hadn't heard of.

I'll add one more game, Super Cloudbuilt. What a game! It's a fast paced very challenging 3D platformer and it demands that you continually improve as you progress through the game. It's available on PC / PS4 / XBO.

The game flopped and the studio that made it ran out of money and had to shut down while they were developing their next game. What a shame.

If you like 3D platformers look into Super Cloudbuilt, but avoid the original release Cloudbuilt on PC, it's even harder and has less content.

*crowd applause*

Now that's a game I haven't heard of myself. I'm gonna check it out, thanks!

Wow that looks amazing. Will add it to wishlist and if it goes on sale it will notify.

Got too many games to play but this looks right up my street. Like Sega's vanquish, cell shaded, with more platforming and less shooting, but still 'burst' type movements.

Epic.

I was happy to share the knowledge of this overlooked game with others, however now I got some bad news for you (and possibly others reading this), I just found out that the publishing agreement for Super Cloudbuilt ended awhile back, and the game has been delisted on PS4 / XBO / PC. Only the original Cloudbuilt is available for purchase right now (it has a different publisher).

Super Cloudbuilt will come back, but only for PC, and so if you want it on consoles and didn't already buy it, you'd need a softmodded PS4 to add it yourself, which is unfortunate. The lead developer talks about this on their website:

https://coilworks.se/blog/2...

In the meantime, while the devs are working on getting Super Cloudbuilt back on PC, check out the amazing soundtrack by Jacob Lincke! My three favorite songs are Aerial Walkways, Aurora, and Blood Moon.
