Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Gameplay PC 4K RTX ON Max settings DLSS Quality

CG writes: Here is a look at the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered gameplay with the PC running in 4K (dynamic resolution off) RTX ON using Max Very High settings where available. Without DLSS the game hovers around the 40 fps mark with an RTX 3090, but with DLSS set to quality, can mostly maintain 60 fps. For some sort of comparison, we have included the PS4 Pro version video using upscaled 4K at 30 fps.

why the ps4 pro version? include the ps5 version you will find it looks absolutely incredible seems strange to use the ps4 pro version? RTX 3090 £1200 at least in most places. this article reeks of making spiderman look as best possible on pc

Angyobangyo1002d ago

Lol, the copium. Regardless if they compared the PS5 version, a PC with high specs still will put perform consoles in general.

MadLad1002d ago (Edited 1002d ago )

Imagine making an article about a PC version and showing it at its absolute best for those interested. How dare they.
Anybody who actually knows tech knows buying a 3090 just to game is dumb. It's twice the price of the 3080 with little gain over it in real world performance.

There are 2000 series cards that easily compare to the current consoles in real world performance. Something like a 3080 dances around them with proper support.

John_McClane1002d ago

That's the drawback with consoles, by the time they release they're already outdated tech.

Imalwaysright1002d ago

Or maybe the person that made this video doesn't have a PS5.

Visceral891002d ago

You need a 2.5k pc to play at the highest settings with the highest ray tracing. Even then, the differences are minimal to the ps5 version.

MadLad1002d ago (Edited 1002d ago )

Sony is obviously looking for parity between their PS5 releases and their PC ports.
The rest comes down to if you have the hardware to simply power past them.
But that's a Sony decision. If you have a Sony game that manages to run a Sony title better than a PS5, then you have a PC that runs most third party titles much better than the PS5.

And if you think you need a 3090 and a 2.5k PC to manage that, you're far from accurate. You can get great results from a PC that maybe costs 1k, considering you find things at MSRP. It gets old hearing how you need thousands of dollars just to surpass console performance.
The consoles are already well behind PC performance, and the 4x series of cards are right on the horizon.

"You need *pulls random number out of ass* to play this at the highest settings with the highest ray tracing in 4K at 60fps, something the PS5 can't do. I hate that people other than me with my terrible budgeting skills have the option to have the best of something I thought was exclusive to my proprietary soulless conglomerate machine; my entire reasoning for buying into brand loyalty shattered in an instant. Corporation! My best friend! Thou have betrayed me!"

Fixed that seethe for you.

MadLad1001d ago

It's funny, considering Merrin will always claim to be a PC gamer, but never seems to have a good thing to say about it, constantly tries to discount it, and seemingly actually wants to see its downfall.

Binarycode1002d ago

Maybe they never had a PS5 version to hand:)

Regardless, this is a decent port which has been getting performance patches and has many options for PC players to enjoy it.

PS5 is a very power console. ppl tend to forget. A console is made with a budget and power draw in mind.
With a PC, you can build and use has much power as poss. But with cost.

Heck imagine if the PS5 had better RT performance with DLSS.

Giblet_Head1002d ago

It's actually quite difficult to imagine since the PS5 lacks the hardware from Nvidia to utilize DLSS as a feature.

Soulrakk1002d ago (Edited 1002d ago )

That's great but the game was still built for last-gen console tech. No amount of frames, resolution or 5090's will help that. Using PS4 Pro is an interesting choice considering PS5's are out and already does a great job of boosting frames & res. Nice to see PC gamers getting the game tho. My biggest intrigue with PC is what mods will surface.

For those spreading lies here about Marvel making the most out of the deal...

The rate has tiers. 9% to 18% physical and 19% to 26% digital for the first 7 mil. So even if it's 26% for all versions it's not that much. Considering all platform holders charge 30%. And just like 30% is how much Sony is getting from call of duty.

Now let's think about how much money Microsoft is making off Indiana Jones on PS5 and steam since there is a platform cut of 30% plus the disney cut...ouch. 😏

Chevalier162d ago

Plus why would Disney mess with a deal where they sit back and make a crap ton of income without lifting a finger?! Idiots think Disney will say no to money? Lol

goken162d ago

Yes considering the IP, 19-26% isn’t really that crazy.
For context google and apple wants 30% for selling your console and PC games on a phone.

Tacoboto161d ago

False
Proof: you are able to purchase titles within the Steam and PS Apps. You've always been able to.

The one exception is Xbox, where they both (1) have their own mobile store agenda, and (2) have remote play built into the core Xbox app, while PS Remote Play and Steam Link are separate apps.

Can someone explain me the math here. 20 million copies x $60 = $1.2 billion max (assuming every copy was sold at $60 which it possibly couldn't).

Even Gta5/RDR2 didn't generate this much revenue in their first year even though they sold much more. Something is off here with this revenue calculation.

Chevalier162d ago

Basically people like Boxx don't know wtf they are talking about. There was also an expensive collector edition of the game, faceplate, controllers and a special edition console. Add in new customers to Playstation buying the system to specifically play Spiderman and yeah you can bump up revenue in multiple areas. Spiderman is that popular.

It's a guy saying their games helped generate revenue...not any official revenue. He's touting revenue that wouldn't exist without the game. So ya toys and comics. This is not a sony financial report.

It took GTA 3 days. And Spider Man had a season pass as well that released all it's content a couple of months after launch.

“It took GTA 3 days. And Spider Man had a season pass as well that released all it's content a couple of months after launch “

Reminds me how many devices was gta released on and who’s fanbase bigger CoD or gta 🤦🏿.
Edit:Congrats to Sony.
Damn I missed a obscured account troll comment 😩

Amplitude161d ago (Edited 161d ago )

Spiderman didn't have a season pass in the traditional sense. It was 3 story missions included in the Deluxe edition, but with the ability to purchase them all separately as a pass. They were multi-hour stories as well - It's not like Insomniac has been constantly building on Spiderman, collecting money monthly from players in exchange for monthly content drops.

Hell, all the skins they released were free for everybody and there have been a ton of them.
Why are we comparing Spiderman to GTA5 anyway? You can pick literally any game or media release and it doesn't compare to GTA5 sales - plus, one is exclusive to Pla-... this is dumb.

Redemption-64162d ago

It's only off if you decide to exclude accessories and custom consoles/bundles. Those are all part of the revenue

162d ago
Redemption-64162d ago

@TysonDor
Sure, if that helps you sleep better at night. You might not be smart enough to know this, but most games don't get bundles or their own custom consoles. If Sony, Nintendo, and MS create a custom console of a game that ends up selling millions, that revenue is counted towards that game. Video game sales are not the only way games make money.

They are not fudging any numbers, they are counting the money they made through this game, hell I would say it's more if we include merchandise sales too, but that goes to Marvel, not Sony
