A game released 2x within months, for the same price, and then release the same game for $10 more than the OG, with better graphics, yet again? Doesn't sound like a cash grab? You are clearly under 30. The way the world is now, better save every dollar you can.

If you think this is the same as uncharted, spider man, etc...i don't know what to tell you. You're saying demon souls ps3 looks like the ps5 version, uncharted 3 looks like 4...that there is no difference so it should cost 10 dollars.

@VS... at least the games I used as examples have upgrade paths from PS4 to PS5. Yours is not the same... at all.

Sony could very easily made this a paid upgrade ala spider-man remastered or uncharted legacy of thieves where for a small fee, it makes the ps4 game into a ps5 version.

That isnt to say those who choose to buy the 5 disc/digital shouldn't, by all means its their choice. But for anyone who already has the remaster should be offered the same choice they had with other games.

Yeah it just bugs me they are super defending this and being like “it’s rebuilt from the ground up” but when people say “we’ll where’s Part II’s features like prone or dodging” they turn around and say something along the lines of “it would break the game” or “it’s not built for that”

How can it break the game…you are REBUILDING it from the ground up, so why not build it for those features. Hell there’s pre development footage of the original where Joel can dodge but at the time it was a technical issue so they ditched it

Demon souls PS5 was also marketed as built from the ground up but i didn't see people complain(at least to this deranged level)it didn't have gameplay enhancements from Dark souls, Bloodbourne or Sekiro.

Same played it numerous times on PS3, I skipped the remaster on PS4 so it's feels ok for me to shell out £70 tbh.
In total it'll be £125 for the 2 games so that works out £63 each which let's be honest is great value.
I do understand it's probably abit shit if you bought all the versions of tlou though but at the end if the day nobody is forcing gamers to buy the new version.

I bought the remaster on PS4 too and played it multiple times over the life of my PS4.

The way I see it, I got my value for money on PS3, I got my moneys worth on PS4 when I bought it almost 10 years ago. I am certain I'll get my moneys worth again from this purchase over the life of my PS5.

The remaster for the PS4 looked nowhere near as good as TLOU 2 (and why would it, it was just a remaster of a PS3 game), and this is a PS5 game? I get we haven't seen many current-gen exclusive games so I understand why many people think this is impressive but man, the PS5 is capable of so much more than this.

I'm sorry, no amount of graphics comparisons will make this worth £70. It's clear they're not going to budge the price point, but at the very least owners of TLOU Remastered should have a cheaper upgrade path.

I've been a huge TLOU fan since day 1 on PS3 and bought both the original and remaster and this is a slap in the face to fans. Please DO NOT support this so that future IP's don't get the same cash grabbing scheme treatment.

Sony tries to justify their $70 price tags by how much more expensive game development has become, but they're basically the only ones doing it.
I would love to see the actual development cost put into this game, games like Returnal made by a rather small team, or even the expenses had with a game like the Demons Soul remake.

You feel good about your choice then let others who have never played the game or those who want to play it again pay the full price for it. Your cheaper upgrade path is getting it in the bargain bin a year or two from now for $20 and be happy that it was made again and looks even more amazing or just be happy you already played it. I like it enough that I’ll buy it again when it’s discounted but I have no problem with people paying full price if they want to. I actually wish they did this more often with other classics. This gives people the opportunity to play games they didn’t on the older consoles that look even better. Why is it so bad to have choices… It’s as if people think Sony is forcing them to buy the new one. Be patient and pay less if you want to or be happy you played it already.

Its very easy to make something jump out in difference but to make it fit the original tone while adding in more realism requires a good eye.

For a new player, full price makes sense.

For the remaster owner, definitely a serious discount.

Sony will release only ONE first party ps5 exclusive in 2022. And that's a remake of a remastered ps3 game. Horizon, Gt7, etc are all PS4 games.

Looks good . I’m hyped to play this it’s been long time . I don’t care what the xbox fans have to say . Of course Sony wants to make money and all games are cash grabs , that’s their goal is to make $$ . You DONT HAVE TO BUY IT . You can wait for it to drop in price too . I don’t see the whining in Nintendo articles when they remaster/remake or just straight up port games frequently with hardly any upgrades or no upgrades at all .
