Inafune: Okami, Viewtiful Joe, God Hand sequels "not likely or appealing," Mega Man 10 possible

Capcom's Kenji Inafune recently discussed titles developed by Clover Studios. Though Clover no longer exists, Capcom would still be able to create more titles for Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand. Inafune, however, has expressed zero interest in creating any new games for Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand, stating that "it's not very likely or appealing."

But it's a shame about Okami, regardless of sales, that was a great game. I hope they change their mind and make a sequel of that one someday.

If anyone hasn't played VJ and wants to I recommend checking EB's used bin... I happened to find a copy for $3. Easily the biggest steal I've ever found for a game.

It's such a shame that none of these are getting sequels.

Yeah Capcom seems more interested in making lackluster titles like Lost Planet than making original games anymore. Oh God what I wouldn't give for a new Breath of Fire game. Two of my favourite original PS era RPGs and I haven't seen a new one in about a decade. Maybe they should stop thinking like a corporation and start thinking as a developer.

Not getting the final installment of VJ is disappointing indeed...
Okami 2 would be an amazing experience on a HD console, but oh well.
Pity indeed... all three deserve sequels.

Consider the fact that PS2 had an install base of 120m+, Okami sold terrible. YES it sold terrible.
Now look at the Wii version, with that audience, it sold bad.
BUT comparing both audiences in size, Ps2 took the crown of selling bad compared to the Wii version.
It got nothing to do with " Nintendo ".

Why the hell did you bring that up anyway, you make little sense.

Like sidar say there are companies that have to close down, you should thanks nintendo to have a console that allow developper to make game that cost less than the others.
With the increase of the cost to make a game right now.
When studio failed to sell their game (factor 5, midway, etc) the only choice they have is to close their studio.

seeing as how megaman 9 was essentially a fan service with all the bells and whistles i would very much love another megaman in that style...however the other news is very bad considering how alot of companies have great games but if they dont sell a million they see them as failures.

Life is not cheap.
But this developper have great tools to make game that cost less ( psn, wiiware, xbl), but the problems with this services is that you can't have a lot of publicities.
