NoobFeed Editor Kurtis Seid writes - Beyond the Wire has a nice blueprint for a fun massive World War I shooter, but there are too many barriers leading to an empty world.
"The indie games developer Redstone Interactive and Offworld Industries (the developer of the smash-hit military simulator “Squad”) today announced that they have just released the "For King and Country" update for their large-scale multiplayer WW1 FPS “Beyond The Wire”." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
The main mode of the game consists of two factions fighting in waves against each other, taking control of land and trying to push the enemy back to their HQ and then taking it in order to win.

"The lack of people to play with is already enough for me not to recommend this game. If it had more players, it could very well compete with the big guys on the recent batch of military-simulators such as Hell Let Loose or Post Scriptum."
Today, Will Stahl, Co-Founder & CEO of Offworld Industries, developers of the Project Reality mod and the critically lauded military warfare simulator, Squad, is announcing that, after seven years, he will be leaving the company before the end of the year.
