An indie hit has come out of nowhere today and has managed to sneak all the way to the top of Steam's most followed upcoming games.
Publisher Source Technology and developer Recreate Games will soon release a PlayStation 5 version of physics-based party game Party Animals via PlayStation Store, the companies announced.
GameRant writes: "Previously an Xbox exclusive, Party Animals is coming to PlayStation. First released for Xbox consoles last September, Party Animals was ultimately nominated for Best Multiplayer and Best Family Game at The Game Awards 2023."
Still waiting for eastward to jump ship. I played it a little on gamepass. So if it ever comes to ps5 I'm sure it'll get a physical release, that's when I'll buy it.
An easy recommendation for PS players looking to goof off with friends. The little things like locomotion, cosmetics, etc. make it a better 'rubber-bones fighter' than Gang Beasts imo.
Party Animals has expanded once again, with a new collaboration now adding a playable character from Cult of the Lamb.
For me, the problem with these games is the lack of content, not enough maps or weapons or modes, I was interested in this and Cake Bash, but you can only enjoy them for a couple of hours due to the lack of content (I'm pretty sure the Cake Bash team isn't even working on their game anymore apart from bug fixes).
Plus this game looks like a reskin of Gang Beasts to me, very similar physics involved.
