During Electronic Arts' quarterly financial conference call, chief executive officer Andrew Wilson talked about the closure of Apex Legends Mobile and the future, hinting that the company wants to create another experience connected with the main game, and the same goes for Battlefield Mobile.
Apex Legends Mobile just launched in May, but Respawn says the game has fallen short of its bar for quality. EA is also halting development on its planned Battlefield mobile title.

Seriously though so many parents who let theirs kids pump money into mobile games I'm sure this game generated quite a lot of money even if it didn't make EA a billion dollars
I thought that this game was actually doing quite well. It's one of the few mobile games that I have anecdotes of people actually playing and I recall it was downloaded in by dozens of millions of people. The revenue from microtransactions was probably not good enough for EA.
EA announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2023, related to the period between October 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.
While I'm surprised I'm even writing this, EA are doing a great job lately. Now get Battlefield back on track.
