Steelrising Preview: Gameplay Hands-On Impressions | Fextra Life

Fextra Life : On top of the upcoming GreedFall 2: The Dying World, developer Spiders has been mighty busy creating a Soulslike Action RPG, which I was fortunate enough to try. In this Steelrising Preview: Gameplay Hands-On Impressions, we will go in deep as we explore the chaotic alternate history of Paris in the 1700s where the French Revolution has been seemingly quelled, albeit in a more vicious and possibly, bloody way. The game is published by Nacon, who helped bring GreedFall to life. It will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 8, 2022.

Adam Michel: "Today, we’re happy to announce the latest, full Monthly Games lineup for PlayStation Plus. February’s selection is headlined by Square Enix’s competitive yet ultra-colorful online party shooter Foamstars, which makes its debut exclusively on PlayStation Plus. Joining it is a potent mix of skates and gunplay with the highly stylish Rollerdrome, while Steelrising brings you automaton-powered RPG action. All three will be available to PlayStation Plus members on Tuesday, February 6 until Monday, March 4. Let’s take a closer look at each game."

Rollerdrome is an amazing game. Bought it Day 1 and would really like a sequel.

crazyCoconuts460d ago

I didn't realize it was a single-player game. Might try it out,

Ps5conehead459d ago

It’s crap, couldn’t even get myself to complete the 45 min trial before deleting it.

EvertonFC459d ago

So because you didn't like it, that means it's crap.
Have you ever thought for once that maybe some are good games and it's just not your type of game.

FoamStars is a day one release I think.

Cacabunga460d ago

No idea why Sony didn’t Cancel foam star and invest that money in a bloodborne ps5 remaster

EvertonFC459d ago

Because they cater to all gamers NOT JUST YOU.

Cacabunga459d ago (Edited 459d ago )

Everton

Are you telling me foam star will sell more and attach rate it it will be higher than a full remaster of Bloodborne?

Good to start the day with a laugh thanks

You win the silliest comment of the month award.

FinalFantasyFanatic459d ago

I actually want to try Foam Stars, I have low key interest in Splatoon, but it wasn't quite for me, maybe Foam Stars will be different.

Wow, another very solid month! Definitely noticeable increase in quality this year. Keep it up!

1nsomniac460d ago

/s in case anyone didn’t quite pick it up..

bazookasDAD460d ago

nice!! I have a tendency to spend hours scrolling through the vast catalogs of games available on my devices, looking for something to play and never choosing anything new. In doing that, i have almost bought rollerdrome like 5 different times.

FinalFantasyFanatic459d ago

This is what I use GOG for, I use that client to track what games I own on PS and PC (plus, I've manually added my PS2/3DS/Vita/PSP games on there). I just check it before I a buy a game so that I don't double up very often unless I do it intentionally.

I've very nearly bought Rollerdrome a few times. Even in the New Year sale recently. Delighted with this selection now.

Steelrising (XS) Review | VGChartz

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "When considering its more modest goals, Steelrising should be treated as a well-intentioned stopgap between larger meals. Yet, after fairly weighing that context and Spiders' stature, I’m still thinking about what could've been improved and expanded. There's also been a rising tide of comparative titles – both in value proposition and awful names – within the Soulslike clade that might do more for you; however, its bundled strengths of strong art direction, atmosphere, and subtle design tweaks are at least worth a specifically-qualified recommendation."
