Immersed Gamer writes: "It’s been a year since The Last of Us Part 2 got its PS5 Upgrade. But how sure can we be that it won’t simply get another one? And maybe, more importantly, SHOULD it get another one?
The Last of Us Part 1 remake for PlayStation 5 released a splashy cinematic trailer and it sparked a discussion about whether it’s necessary and if it’s worth the 70$. The quality has clearly improved, but how far has technology progressed since the original game – and what should the price tag be for said improvements? These are the types of questions that internet outlets are asking right now.
But I’m going to take it a step forward into the future and ask you, is the unavoidable The Last of Us Part 2 Director’s Edition for PS5 worth the 70$?"
The Last of Us Part 2's Rattlers may have received a comeuppance with Ellie's arrival in Santa Barbara, but the faction could still be of some use.
CG says: In this video, we take a look at the same forest section on horseback in The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered that we showcased in 2020 on the PS4 Pro. It’s an amazing bit of exposition with not much happening aside from a bit of banter. However, taking it slowly rather than galloping past, the forest graphics are actually pretty detailed. One of the more beautiful moments from the game. PS4 Pro version holds-up pretty well (that output was upscaled 4K and back then, there was no DLSS or AI interventions that we know about).
TSA reviews The Last of Us Part II PC port.
It will definitely happen at the same time as the PC release. But it will be the usual 10$ upgrade.
You loyalist fan-freaks are enabling Naughty Dogs’s 70 “remake” hike sticker price. If it sticks, it’s on you.
The game is in the can/ a completed production (and has been for a long time). It’s only getting re-treated for fidelity. NOT being casted, written, directed, programed and team-created from scratch. It is absolutely unjustified in its price.
ND is shoving you a piece of meat in front of your face to see if you’ll bite. You should bite ND and give them an earful rather than let them take advantage of your wallet. They don’t deserve the cash. They need to do something to earn community back, but even that is going to be a problem with Neil’s focus on $ and studio a-hole power. If ND’s focus is overpriced Last of us remake Games….I think its time for some ND house cleaning from the top down.
I doubt it.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all and then after that another remaster for the PS6. By PS7 it’ll be rereleased in photo real mode.
sick of hearing about the Last of Us
